The basic kit, including software and fuel injectors is priced at 4500€, the intercooler version is priced at 5250€. For a quotation for your kit you can contact us at info@chargertech.nl
@Chargertech Thats a bit a lot considering HKS has a kit for 5k USD for a FX35 which is superior to this car in terms of power. But anyway thanks for bringing some light of hope for tribeca users :)
This installation is done in the Netherlands, at our workshop. We could also supply you with a kit for your Liberty Spec B. Please send me an email at info@chargertech.nl and we can put together a superchargerkit for your car.
I live in Holland, but cause the rest of the post's are in English, so let's keep it international.;-)
I drive a 2006 Legacy wagon spec B.
Now I know a supercharger is fitted on the Tribeca, this must be no problem on a 3.0 Spec B Legacy.
However, since a supercharger takes it's power from the engine, compared with the turbo who uses wasted exhaustgasses, fuelconsumption will be higher too.
Normally I can run allmost 8l/100km.(Highway)
What figures can I expect cruising on the highway?
Highway mileage should remain almost identical as at constant speeds the pressure is vented into the atmosphere reducing the power the supercharger takes from the engine to a minimum.
With some modifications to the bracket this kit is also suitable for a H6 Legacy. At this moment we are planning on doing a complete kit also for the Legacy and other models but when this is finished I can't say for sure.
The system runs on a very low boost because of the high CR, this shouldn't give you any problems on stock compression.
Definitely no issues with 10:1 on the subie engines - I have the raptor supercharger running 10psi intercooled on my Subaru RX which has the EJ201 - been like this now for 80,000km without a single issue :D
Unfortunately we haven't gotten a complete kit for the 2010 Forester yet, as soon as someone wants us to install a supercharger on his car and brings his car to us, we could do so and we would make a complete kit out of it!
I was just wondering where did you purchase your SuperCharger kit and how much did it cost? Did you order it online? I was also wondering if you wouldn't mind doing an update video on on the bearing noise, to show us how it sounds now. Thanks
how long does it normally take for the bearing noise to go down? How does it sound with the bonnet closed? any performance or dyno figures charts released for this?
The sound of the bearings goes down in about 1000-1500km, but even just after the install you hear almost nothing of it in the car when driving. Only when idling the bearing noise is louder then the engine noise, but still this will become much less then in this video.
We only got a 2wd dyno so haven't been able to put this car on it but we calculated horsepower figures based on acceleration data(original 10.0-10.5sec now 6.9-7.3sec)
Wait nevermind I heard It now

Drivetrain is absolutely no problem, even the automatic gearbox can handle the extra forces.

What about the drivetrain?

Would this system be suitable for a 3.0 Subaru legacy? (Spec B)? Are there any risks using this kit when the engine runs 10:1 compression already?
