As an M.P. I worked the 1988 AC/DC concert at the Festhalle. Had to hold a few German teens back when Angus came out to do a solo. Went to see Bon Jovi and Lita Ford. German guy searched my jacket, Jim Beam fell to ground, crash! Best concert was R.E.M. Green tour 1989 at the Kongresshalle. Was scheduled to work the Bruce Hornsby and the Range concert but it started snowing, we got halfway down Marbech-Weg and the desk Sgt. called us on the radio to come back. That's just the way it is...
dude your funny as hell... buuut you cant remember names worth a damn... not to worry though... the stories make up for it all hahaha.... anyways im planning on enlisting in the very near future.. mainly because right now its hard as hell to find a job but i like to be challenged and theres definitely a future in an army career... and alot of advancement possibilities
Aerosmith, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Do you remember how HUGE Tina Turner? was there? Anyways lots of good concerts in Frankfurt. 317th Engineers. 87-89.
Yea Tina came there to do her we dont need another hero show. It was amazing. When Prince played there, our LtCol called an alert at 5 pm and called it off at 11pm LOL Guys with tickets were like, the colonel is an asshole.
Its not the video, its Youtube. You have to either reload the video or come back to it by clicking it again. I have gotten that on people I am subbed to. I had to go back to the homepage and then go back to their video. Gotta love Youtubes great site lol.
hey dude good luck in the army, i wish I was the one going in, but i am retired and i still miss it. (yes i am creazy but i love the army) the best of my life was in the army. you will have lots of stories to tell in about 25 years. again good luck
It was a hard decision to make, but my dad had just passed away and mom was having kidney problems and since I missed time with my father, I decided to call it quits and move back to be close to mom.
sorry about you dad and hope your mom's health improves. i will pry for her. I really enjoy your army stories, I know I had a great time in the army, more so living in the barracks, I have stories of my own, like when I cought my roommates laying pipe, man what a funny sight!
Nude beaches make Americans joke and giggle because they are like 6 year olds when they see peepee parts.

Hi Jim!!
Many greetings from a small town in the southern corridor of the Fulda Gap!!
I remember you guys very well!
I grew up in the cold war era and was one of the kids standing at the road doing the V-Sign and asking for food packages or Stickers...

They offered me an opportunity to go up for promotion, or take a lump sum to get out immediately. I took the money.
Talljim01 3 years ago
