  • @lilcummy i'm 14. but when i was 13 i got into a fight and i butterfly kicked him but the hit made me fall. so i did the kip up and the look on his face was priceless he got scared so i told him to walk away and he did XD.. ps. i didn't start fight he was picking on my friend

  • I've been practicing this for months and I still keep landing om my back!!! It starts getting really anoying!!!!!

  • When I started I was afraid to even kick, and only landed on my back when i kicked, and here I am now & can do rubberbands quite easily and also have a tutorial on kip up.

    So, instead of just nagging about it try it on a bed or place where even you fail it doesn't hurt. There you can focus on the technique and once you start to land, you start to improve until it's second nature.

    That being said applies to any technique out there.

  • @theycallmebruce No, At first when I tried I just failed It was Fear domination. But one day I accidentally did it. And after that It felt super easy. I didn't even need any tutorials.

  • @MrJason905 Try to get your legs up & down to a bridge. Drill this a lot. After that understnad the technique of Kip up & try it on a soft mat. You'll get it. For more details, I have a tutorial see if you want to.

  • I'm 5 foot 9, about 190 lbs, and doen't have the perfect body for antics like this. I learned to do a kip-up in about two months. I compensated for my lack of agility by: Placing my hands a little further apart. Landing little wider, and making damn sure I kicked UP! That's the biggest flaw for most people they kick foward or roll back to much.

    Yeahh so remember dont swing your legs too far back, but just enough so you can have lots of momentum to kick upwards! Hope this helps!

  • @xic4loca hey mate, try performing a bridge position repeatedly. This should strengthen your arms and get you used to the movement, good luck

  • @Axel4Fox hey nah I know how you feel, remember, just its all about the swing in your legs, if it helps, I used to start crouching in a crouching position, then roll back. This allows your legs to fall back a bit extra to.achieve more momentum. Good luck

    Possibly try swinging your feet further back to get that extra momentum.

  • @moredad it was hard at the first times but i did it by swinging my legs further back when kiping up and i placed my feet like a v shape and it helped me a lot kick your legs kirst and then push up with your hands and good luck! practice makes per fect! ; )

  • Cool, I wanted to learn this after my pole dancing instructor did it during a performance, and not to downgrade your awesomeness, but she did it in 5 inch platform heels.

  • I'm not saying this way is wrong, I'm just saying this way is harder, and if you learn to do it the other way once you "master" it you can make it look really smooth, although with this way you could (most likely) eventually make it look smooth but I doubt you could land as close to your full height, also the way I do kip ups is dangerous in a different way, if you fail this, you land on your back, neck, or head, if you fail that your heels slam really hard on the ground, so learn on soft ground

  • Just a friendly disclaimer guys, the more body mass you have the harder this thing is to land, and the more it will hurt when you fall back down. The reason it looks this easy is because this guy is short and skinny. I realize this sounds elementary but practice on a trampoline or mat to build your confidence.

    Or a bed, dude go look at big show doing it in the related videos, if a man his size can do it with just the help of ropes pretty much anyone can, once you know how to do one its ALL in timing, you roll back onto your shoulders (no further) then you (smoothly) throw your legs and hips into the air and then kick down (pretty hard but not so hard your hurting your legs when you do it) the only thing you don't do smooth is the downwards kick.

    Same problem when I was learning them, your kicking up too early, roll back onto your shoulders THEN throw your legs up and back down, theres this way of doing it and then theres a better way which can almost land you standing at your full height, heres the how to on how I do kip ups youtube (dot) com/watch?v=X2Xz9WyugU0 (which seems significantly easier than this method)

  • @Split863..even i had that problem ..but i finally got it ..u can see my video for proof ..what you have to do is as soon as you kick up get your feet down (in the place where ur butt was when u were in the sit up position) ..what that does is that it let ur upper body get up as it would have no other place to go but up .. but at the same time remember to try getting your upper body up and stick ur chin to ur chest otherwise it will hurt if u do a few ..and try spotting something whle ur gtin up
