Try different excersises, if u have been doing the same ones for a year you may have hit a plato. to gain size do 4 sets of 8 reps on a higher weight. and it takes time so dont wory your 16 your body is still growning
@Prozank i had the same problem, but i did some research and found out that the best way for skinny efficent guys to gain is by HEAVY weight maxing at 4 reps.
@Prozank simply put, you have to eat like an animal. Eat atleast 6 times a day. And eat every three hours. A 50g Protein shake with a banana counts as a meal. Lots of chicken breast, tuna, eggs, egg whites (easier to cook, they come in a milk carton type of thing) and steaks. For complex carbs, eat rice, Baked Potato, PASTA, mac and cheese isnt the best, but it works.
2) You MUST get no less than 8 hours of sleep a night.
3) You must give a muscle atleast 72 hours to recover from HEAVY lifting!
@Prozank just protein shakes does not going to help. you got to eat right, 6 times a day. you don't really needed protein shakes to get big because you are only 16, your body will grow without any supplements.
@Prozank also make sure you eat 6-7 meals a day, only small portions little but often. you might just not be eating enough you gotta be eating chicken,tuna,pasta,rice and so on you need carbs to make protine get to your muscles, just good luck dude just don't give up.
