can you say how you did this? for example the footstool did you usw the conrol stick to jump and c-stick to smash down? or did you usw x/y and control stick down +a to smash?
footstooling should not even be considered in any "combo" or even a highlight take, its just as gay as random tripping. other than that i have no problem with brawl

Yes. You're right. Melee required skill. It was a good game. But brawl allows in multiple in air dodges and many more meteor smashes. Melee had cheap-combos. For example, Marth's meteor was much easier to pull off in Melee than in Brawl. I'm not saying I was a beast at Melee or anything, but honestly, the Ken Combo was pretty easy to pull off. I mean, pulling off against a good player was hard but pulling it off on a CPU was easy. It takes skill in Brawl. The gravity in brawl is better for fight
I do like the multiple air-dodges and how they took away some of the "helpless" states (such as when you use Jigg's rollout, for example) but I gotta disagree with the gravity thing. I feel like Brawl is much more floaty and lightweight. Maybe it's just something I've never fully adjusted to. The biggest thing that I feel like really adds some tech to Brawl is footstool gimping. That's a very nice addition, imo. The grab-release combos still bother me a lot though

Right, because a jump to an up B wouldn't go over the ledge? -_- Marth would either have to climb up the ledge and let Lucas grab it or he could just stay there and let Lucas pass him. Also, Counter is extremely unreliable in Brawl and with auto-sweetspotting on ledges, its use is diminished significantly.
Even with the footstool, there was not enough lag time / hitstun for him to die; he could've jumped when he was at the bottom of the stage. Also, the Lucas shouldn't have ever gotten Ken comboed in the first place, he could've easily airdodged the spike.
Very instant rape combo there. quick and precise. Love it. but I do concur with some people as to say he could've probably jumped and tried to get up...provided the marth didn't cheaply ledge steal him.
He could have jumped out of the spike, the hitstun was not even close enough to prevent him from jumping, and even if it was, he could have simply meteor cancelled it.
it was annoying because I think I was bowser, Im not sure, and he only has 1 ranged attack which sucks =[. Luckily, I havn't seen a Thunder spammer for a long time =]

even when I'm using characters who have spammable attacks I'm not much of a spammer....hell, I don't even use projectiles unless it's ones which can deal em out the side (samus for example, i'll charge it. but I won't use it until I get em high enough of I want to get em away). I just think it's a waste of energy spamming specials when quite frankly you can take em out in half the time by just going up in their face and smiting them.
mah skills are from ssb and ssbm, now that i have brawl, the people cannot say that im a noob or that i suck. some idiots does cause they use the same moves ALWAYS, and the same character ALWAYS, i always use all smash and specials, but i don't use the grab button too much
funny, because if you go to any of the pro's channels and comment about brawl, you'll get flamed for even speaking the B word. it's either gimpy or magus's channel where he says, "dont mention brawl or i'll spam your comment" (not the exact words, but that's the jist of it)

actually..the reason why there are more brawl players is because of online play. With online play they can be good. I will say that Its much slower than Melee but its really just a different game. Ya i enjoy melee a bit more but Brawls pretty fun. It has a feeling of accomplishment in it when u pull something off that normally wouldnt work in Brawl.

funny, because if you go to any of the pro's channels and comment about brawl, you'll get flamed for even speaking the B word. it's either gimpy or magus's channel where he says, "dont mention brawl or i'll spam your comment" (not the exact words, but that's the jist of it)

actually, there are more who play brawl competetively than melee smashers i think (not sure at all)
but im still sticking to my fave game :) brawl just isnt my type of competetive game tahts all, its fun but competetive? nah not for me =)

also, the reason why there are more competitive brawl players is because it's so easy to be good at this game. ANYONE can play competitively...whereas in melee, you had to be GOOD to play in tournaments.

actually..the reason why there are more brawl players is because of online play. With online play they can be good. I will say that Its much slower than Melee but its really just a different game. Ya i enjoy melee a bit more but Brawls pretty fun. It has a feeling of accomplishment in it when u pull something off that normally wouldnt work in Brawl.

actually...online play sucks ass. it makes you worse because the timing is different because of lag. dude trust me. I can play Brawl competitively. I'm won a tournament before. But if I were to entire ANY melee tournament? I would get RAPED.

Don't blame SSBB just because you sucked at SSBM. Same people who I could beat at SSBM, I can still beat me at SSBB, the people who beat me at SSBM, beat me at SSBB, skill doesn't change.
Of course if you were to argue that you can win a SSBB tournament because the Wii has made gaming more casual, and more and more of the players you come across at tournaments percentage wise are casual. Then yeah, I can get behind that.

I disagree with you. The same competitive players who play Brawl and Melee are the ones who I stand a chance with at Brawl, but not Melee.
I COMPLETELY disagree that the people who were INCREDIBLY GOOD at melee are INCREDIBLY GOOD at brawl. I stand a chance against brawl players. but not melee players. i cant even believe you are comparing the two like this.
