I've had this case since I got my 3GS about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I have no problems at all with the fit and I never feel like it's going to come off. Yes the bottom piece will fall off if the phone isn't in the case because it's designed so that the lip on the bottom piece gets trapped between the top piece and the phone body and that friction fitting is what keeps it on. I think this is one of the classiest looking cases around. I do agree that it's about $5 overpriced though.

I have this case and love it, you have to modify it a bit though. First get a thin piece of cloth and lay it in the case before you put the phone in. This snugs and secures the phone better. The get double stick scotch tape, nothing thicker and place it in the bottom part that slides into the top. Trust me it won't come off ease.

I think most cases are over priced in general, for being plastics and silicone. Although coffee and soda is even worse :P

I have the basic Elan Form and the "leather" is def' a textured plastic. The chrome kind of looks cheap though, I don't approve. I'm less and less excited with the bottom slide cases, I'd rather everyone bundle a universal dock adapter, unless you use the normal iPhone 3G dock, which wasn't included in the iPhone box, BLAH

i thought this looked like a pretty good case, the other case i did, its like the same thing it slips my mind, but i thought it was pretty good. the chrome does look pretty cheap though. I think the normal elan form is better u should try that out
