There are a variety of ways to kill them but what you are getting at is really the tip of the iceberg. The important thing is to prevent a recurrence by identifying and repairing the causes that lead to the problem in the first place. Eliminating wood to ground contact, improved ventilation, repair of water damaged areas, sealing gaps such as expansion joints (between slab and foundation) Killing them is the easy part
@termitis2 In the past (and many companies still do this) a chemical barrier was applied under a house using 100's of liters of pesticide. We have developed a better way which is more effective and better for the environment. There is far less profit but blindly pumping massive amounts of chemicals into the ground is not something we do. Our method provides a long term solution and poses no risk whatsoever to anybody but the termites. Please not that we are dealing with subterranean termites
@termitis2 and more extreme measures may need to be taken by companies dealing with other termite species. I don't knock any of my colleagues for their chosen method of control, we just do what works for us and our company philosophy .
Here we are on the message board :P Ha!
