I forgot to tell you earlier in my reply that it was the old "batman returns" with Danny Devito as the penguin. I doubt you've even seen it but, the clown goons just seemed kind of randomly thrown in. It's like Tim Burton could'nt come up with much else!

Well, the Penguin henchmen were known as the "Circus Gang", since he was apparently self once part of the freak-show of a travelling circus. Few of these circus artists are "clowns".

Also in the original Batman, none of Joker's henchmen were dressed as clowns, and were just your typical thuggish henchmen and muscle working for him.

Anyway Batman Returns is very "Tim Burton-esque" and bears his typical gothic fantasy look.

Harley Quinn has to be one of my favorite batman villians, but I personally think there are too many clown based bad guys in batman,the joker and his goons are okay, but in "batman returns" it started getting old.

I don't even know what you're talking about, they hardly mentioned the Joker in Batman Returns and there were almost no clowns. In Dark Knight is when there were more clowns but the main one was still the Joker.
