I like ur videos and how u make stuff i am trying tobuild my own but i would like u send plans for the mechanisum and chamber to my email please it would be much helpfull kieren1960@hotmail.com
@kenusthewarrior I just realized i posted some build pics at the talonairgun(dot)com forum... Search for my nick "supermono" have a look if you feel like it, lots of pics from start to finish. I've also got some build pics at my friend Pedro's site airgundevelopment(dot)com
@kenusthewarrior Sorry if I misled you.. I use ready made pressure vessels for safety reaasons, I buy barrels (or barrel blanks) since i don't have access to deep hole drilling tools and rifling machine, I find riflescopes hard to build and the same goes for o-rings.. I don't wind my own springs (have done it before..). I could have built the magazine myself, but i got lazy this time. So all in all you're right; this is just a pile of parts put together...
Thank you very much for the kind words! and thanks all for watching my stuff. The last couple of months I haven't had much time for machining stuff... did some tweaking of my sidelever airgun a while back; more "field target style" now. I´'ll shoot a clip of it anyday soon. I've also got a new airgun worked out in my head... If i only had the time to build it!
hm, any chance you can briefly explain to me how the reciever works here?
I mean, you pull the bolt back, insert the round, and this part I dont get, the pellet is somehow held in place, and can still travel through the barrel when you fire the gun.
I'm planning on building a pneumatic airsoft gun that uses 6mm rounds but I can't find any good reciever design that fits how a pneumatic airsoft gun works.
@Tr1Qzz Thanks for your comment! The pellet fits very snugly in the barrel of an air gun; you just push it in with you thumb (or feed from a magazine..) close the bolt and the pellet won't move until you pull the trigger and the sudden relase of HPA pushes it down the barrel.. I have no experience whatsover of airsoft guns, so I'm probably not the right person to ask..
btw where are you getting the bottle? if you could send me a link that would be great. i cant find one that seems right and they all seem to be rather pricey
hey ulanbatorgator cool gun!! i tried contacting mr buckley himself to buy his book but didnt get his response. if its ok can i buy his book from you?
@aiman581 Thank you! I think mr Buckley has been a bit busy lately.. but don't give up, he will answer your mail, it just might take some time! I'm sorry but i don't sell copies of mr Buckleys books. He has put a lot of work into writing them, and deserves every penny he can make from selling them.
@ulanbatorgator maybe you misunderstood what i meant. Since you're like an expert in building, you could sell your book to me. if cant, its ok i'll wait 4 mr.buckley's reply.
@aiman581 Sorry about the misunderstanding! I like to keep my books, so unfortunately you'll have to wait for mr Buckley to reply. BTW I'm far from beeing an expert, but thank you for the kind words!
@ulanbatorgator Oh it's alright. Well i enjoy looking at your builds. I've read in the forums you have a photobucket account, can u post the site address? Don't know where to look. Really like to view them sometime.
@xXvapourXx Thank you very much! The stock for this gun was designed after the lines of "Daystate Air Ranger". I just made a full scale drawing on a piece of cardboard, and cut the stock blank after the cardboard template... The shaping was done with hand tools so i is kind of a slow process... but going slow means less risk of doing mistakes!
wow. another one of your amazing rifles. i agree with niksechtniks that you trully make the best air rifles in the world. over all big name manufacturers too. keep building. almost got my own lathe!!!
@K no regulator (so far..), but i have found a blueprint for one that I just might try..
@niksechtniks; I only build stuff for myself... this is what i do to releive stress after a days work.. I guess building guns for someone else easily can turn into "just another job"...
nice looking gun you have there :)

What sort of valve system is it? hammer valve, QEV?
Exelent craftmanship as well i am amazed how long did the whole thing take
hamcheesesalami 10 months ago
@hamcheesesalami Thanks! This gun has a simple knock open valve, very old school.. I think it took me some six weeks to complete this one.

Hi
Just one tip, if you want to get more views, change the title to Homemade Bolt Action Rifle and increase the tags.
Great build!

Amazing gun just like all your other guns :D.
Just a question do think of the stock designs yourself or get templates of the internet?

Nice gun!! But if you increase your length of your gun barrel, it would be a perfect air rifle!!
