I'm surprised that sideways opening trunk door made it to this generation of the GX, I can't count how many people thought that was annoying, especially if you're loading groceries from the side of the car, I used to drive a Land Rover Discovery and that door was also very annoying to open and close. By the way this car is not competing with the Range Rover, its probably competing with an LR4.

The LX570 would be faster than this, with ~80 hp more. The Land Cruiser in America shares the 5.7 with the LX, because American emission standards don't allow for passenger V8 diesels in their current, dirty form.

a great suv,but i would buy the 4runner instead.Its pretty much the same suv, and the 4runner has most of the high tech fuetures that the gx 460 has.

Yes I would buy over an LX. This has more room in the front seats, has a nicer interior and is a lot less money.

Go drive one, you will change your mind.

honestly, i liked the old gx series better overalll...liked the look of the old one better, the fold down third row seats on the old gx were much better, done more like a land cruiser (which is what this viechle essentially is) I wish they would ofer it in a disel in north america

Are you a Lexus salesman or a reviewer? When you review something you also have to criticize. There is nothing special with this Lexus - typical generic geeky Toyota look that will look old in no time. No new technologies either.

I'd rather have the Toyota variants - the Land Cruiser and the Prado. They're both more affordable and will perform just as well, maybe even better.

This is absolutely THE UGLIES CAR I have ever seen. Absolute disregard to proportions, beauty, in essence that vehicle is a joke. Driving one would be acknowledging that.

That presentation looks like a paid commercial. No way can anybody like that car.

I thought the Land Rover LR4 was great, but for medium-sized truck suv's, I would have the new GX. The 4Runner is the most comfortable SUV I've been in, and that is a damn great foundation to build upon.

I hate being a fan of the LX. It always risks being phased out, unlike the freakin LS. Also, the LX just doesnt get as much attention as other Lexus vehicles, especially the freakin LS!
