No. Absolutely not. I had better never see a movie, cartoon, or other media tarnishing such a glorious collection of comics. Calvin and Hobbes were my and my little sisters' favorite two people regardless of the fact that it ended the year I was born.

I swear on my honor as a previous veteran member of G.R.O.S.S. by all the rules of Calvinball, that I will transmogrify anyone who tries to recreate C&H, into a can of tuna. And I know someone who loves tuna. Mr. Watterson? Just one more, please?

I love Calvin and Hobbes because it is about a kid who doesn't need anyone to be happy. All he needed was Hobbes and they were one the best pair of friends I have ever seen. Calvin and Hobbes will always be my favorite comic.

I seriously almost cried when I saw that picture of Hobbes with Calvin's daughter... It's so sad that Calvin grew out of Hobbes, but so happy that Calvin's daughter can now share the same adventures that Calvin did. :')

The snowmen were my absolute favorite part of the Calvin and Hobbes comics. Typically they're supposed to be cute but Calvin twists them into morbid works of art that are ironically hilarious. XD

Why did it have to end? One of the greatest comics of all time, and then it's gone. To me the comics are currently garbage, except for pearls before swine, dilbert, get fuzzy and a few other exceptions.

I was working in a restaurant in the '80's when a friend introduced me to this comic strip. We read it daily and discussed it during work. It became part of our daily life, something fun to look forward to.

Then one day we learned Watterson was bringing it to a close. We couldn't believe it--it was like losing a dear friend.

We slowly read the last strip on a Sunday morning, then closed the paper, knowing an era had come to an end.

Calvin and Hobbes is an awesome comic strip. At 6 I had the same gift of seeing my golden retriever as a real dog. Everyone else saw a toy dog. That's how I was like Calvin growing up, because he saw Hobbes as real, although I was obedient.

@lovesubaru222 Bill felt he did everything he could. He didn't want it to become bland or commercialized, he was a true artist. He ended it as epicly as he could. With Calvin looking out side, saying, "Well, Hobbes ol' buddy, there's a world of adventure out there! Let's go!". It never truly ended. Calvin never got old, Hobbes never went away. It is very touching. He was the best artist of our time, a man who wasn't even try ing to be that. Just someone true to who he was.

Always though, we must looks forwards but hold the memories of the past in the light. Life goes on and something new and just as good as before will come along.
