  • lol this music sounds more like for a detective's music...

  • Am I the only one who liked this version better than the original? :(

  • @mrerrork Yes. Real man listen to the Black Mages version. You seem like the kind of fag who has Guitar Pro 6 and sets it to Mega Drive sound mode. Please rot in hell.

  • @MrMtoGatoMesmo Now, now, let's not call each other names. Everyone has their preferences, so we can just leave it at that. Please?

  • @NewRedNinja So much butthurt...

  • Comment removed

  • @mrerrork I prefere this one. Im not blinded by nostalga like most other people.

  • @irategamerforever

I think they sound very similar to each other but I prefer this one.

  • the original music was alot better

  • BIG BANG! Y U KEEL MY PARTY IN 1 HIT?!

  • @megasean3000

    Hacks.

  • Despite the its much less devastating appearance compared to the GBA and SNES counterparts, I still very much enjoy this song especially more when listening to it in a different context

  • This version sounds VERY underwhelming.

The Original and GBA versions are much better.

  • I hope the FF Series goes back to this....

  • @Lv99Kite

I doubt it, but let's hope for awesome remakes of V and VI =)

  • I like how the song is kinda saying you need to win it just sounds like its saying that

  • I like how this is higher-quality work than the other versions, but it's also a bit too slow, and sounds a bit too much like a MIDI file. I mean, it's not a horrible, terrible remix, but I think they should have at least picked up the pace a bit more.

Oh well. When we get the next inevitable Final Fantasy IV remake, hopefully it can fix this small flaw.

  • I feel like this is a little under-dramatic for such a dramatic game. Don't get me wrong, I love this song, but it lacks a certain flair.

  • Yeah, the DS version's soundtrack was vastly improved.

  • This song is awesome with headphone

  • @NocturnePower666

The beginning of The Extreme from Final Fantasy VIII with headphones is even cooler.

  • I hate being "that guy" but i do like the original one more too DX

and specifically because 0:59 - 1:35 doesnt sound as epic :( that is just my opinion of course.

  • @WhipLash42o Couldn't agree more

  • this song sounds a bit like ghouls n goblins boss music in some parts

  • I really shouldn't listen to this while doing homework. Psychology has taught me that it will make me perceive homework as being bad since I could begin to associate homework with pure evil... on the other hand, the theme itself is awesome so I'll go ahead and say that I can associate homework with an awesome theme. =D

  • @BlanFan2O if psychology has taught you anything it should be that psychology is theoretical bullshit

  • @BlanFan2O But Homework IS pure evil!

  • @sageofdragons12 Homework is anger and hate incarnate, just like Zeromus. XD

  • @sageofdragons12 Hmmm... yes, that is true... but perceiving it that way will make it harder to get done and easier to procrastinate on. DX

  • I've played every single Final fantasy But this is one of my favorites, Easy but good.

  • I can't stop listening to this. It's too good.

  • @Xenozoa425 me tooo

  • I hate Zeromus, but this is my favorite FF IV music ^^

  • the original ff4 one was much better

  • at 1:29 this reminds me some other FF tune... But I can't remember which one :/ so many good songs in whole FF series..

  • @FATALITY07RUS possibly the elemental lords theme?

  • @DoggyBand Zeromus lost to Cecil and his friend when this theme was played lol :D

  • Zeromus made 32 youtube accounts and dislike this video

  • @i305sy8615 That bastard!

  • @gearfriedtheswmas who's the bastard :D? Are you talking about me? =w=

  • @i305sy8615 No Zeromus. He went to all that trouble just to be an ass.

  • @i305sy8615 Why does zeromus would disliked his own theme ? @_@

  • @i305sy8615

why would he/she dislike his/her own song?

  • @Kirbyluver2 Zeromus lost when this theme was played :)

  • To Hell with the fact that it's slower, that doesn't make it inferior at all.

  • 32 people's mothers were Big Banged by Zeromus a couple nights ago.

  • This one is my personal favorite due to the fact the SNES one screams "Oh my God what the Hell is that?! Cecil, do something!". I like the GBA one because it reminds me of techno. Finally, I like the DS one because it really reminds you of the heart-breaking storyline of FFIV.

  • I like the original. The instrumentation is too "light" for the seriousness of this boss.

  • Second best boss music, with it being slightly inferior to the original, but still quite marvelous.

  • 31 people just get pissed off because of Big bang....

  • @DoggyBand Zeromus: (Vegeta voice) BIG BANG ATTACK!

i always think of Vegeta from Dragon Ball when Zeromus uses Big Bang!

  • BEST LAST BOSS MUSIC EVER! (Well almost lol)

  • Original SNES version > This version. Just in my opinion.

Still a great track though, regardless of the chipset.

  • @Gigameth89 om nom nom mmmmm... old version XD

  • BUFFALOES

  • Why does the DS version music sound like a MIDI?

  • @PAMuffinMan i guess for keeping a bit classic

  • Zeromus was one of the hardest FF final bosses in my opinion. Jump saved my life.

  • Get the PSP version!!!!!!!!

  • I hope that ff 5 and 6 can make it to the 3ds!!!!

p.s.( it'll be awesome kicking Exdeath and Kefka's butt, and for the soundtrack!!)

  • @chroxx90 Or Creator, especially when you create FinalFantasy mod for Half Life it gets even better, two boss games mixed in 1.

  • I will never forgive myself for what I did during this battle.

Before he made his final transformation I somehow managed to forget all about the crystal that Golbez gave me, so I waited for a looong time, waiting for him to transform until my brother reminded me use the crystal.

and I had even seen my brother fight him once or twice before that...

  • @SeaSaltSunset Even thought the last few seconds told you to use the crystal

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Best

  • at 1:30 to 1:33.. thumbs up if you hear the music going left to right in youre ears

  • @jc9622

You just made me realize one of my speakers isn't working.....

  • @InfernoKnightN ahhaha lol

  • @jc9622 yeah

  • You know after listening to this and the gba/snes version, this sounds more like a snes version and the snes version sounds more like the ds version.

  • @SonicDarkart i just did the same thing and totally agree with you. i think i prefer the SNES version over this one

  • @dsylecxia Yeah it sounds to passive

  • @SonicDarkart To slow, doesn't sound as heroic, It strips ff4 final battle theme of it's pride, Well if it had pride.

  • @SonicDarkart Replying to yourself...

    Incomprehensible...

  • @dsylecxia Final fantasy 4 was my first final fantasy game out of the 14, Hehe you know now that I think about it their is 14 FF games and 14 know organization 13 members.

  • one of the many things final fantasy has: epic friggen music

  • @supersmashbros123654 And a friggen big and, somtimes, nasty final boss.

  • This is good, but lacks the same punch as the original had.

  • Is this the final fantasy game when that old... man uses Meteor on Zeromus and sacrifices himself?

  • @Computersoup Yyyyyyyyyup.

It's funny that in the DS version you can let Tellah (said old guy) to cast meteor in game, if you carry over a Soma drop from the previous playthrough.

I find it funny that he was the only person in FFIV who actually succeeded in sacrificing himself...

    Anyhow, awesome theme.

  • @AdorableWolfTengu I played through this game several times (about 3-5 times no joke) and my reaction to Tellah's sacrifice was: "I don't really care, he was awesome in the begining of the game and sucks later on, but still... DON'T SACRIFICE YOURSELF! ZEROMUS IS A VILLAIN WHO IS MAGICAL!"

  • Slow tempo killed it. Still awesome though lol.

  • SNES/PS1 version totally destroys this IMO, I'm playing through the Complete Collection on PSP and you can use the SNES OST (which is what I'm doing). The FF1/2 remastered OSTs were amazing but this isn't even as good as the original.

  • ....lacks of beat D:!!!

  • Chaos I got a problem with your motherfuckin' ass

That's why I captured the crystals and came back to the past1

Battled many foes on my way to you

And I won't think twice about destroying you too!

I won't be so forgiving this time around...

    (Say what?)

I will put you in the ground!

    (Ha ha ha!)

  • for those of you who dont know, on playstation store, there is FF4 full collection (IV and IV:The After Years) FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8 and FF9, get em while you can i say

  • Is it just me or does this seem much slower paced than the original? Or even the GBA remake?

  • ...Zeromus looks like something out of Resident Evil, to me. All that jeweled flesh...hope Wesker's got nothing to do with him. XD

  • @TheHikariOne zeromus existed 5 years before resident evil buddy maybe they got some of their concepts from him?

  • 1st try: Zeromus kicks my ass in a handfull of minutes, didn't even get me time to know what's going on

2nd try: Zeromus apparently has a stroke or something and dies almost immediatly

  • "Dinner! dinner.. Dinner.. *king laughs*"

"You know what they say. all toasters toast.. toast! toast! toast!" xDD

i always remember Final spagetti when hear this awesome final battle theme. such shame that i never had enough time pass FFIV with emulator.

  • Cant get over 2:22... something about it's use of Stereo just makes me want to listen to the entire song again...

  • I like this version because the bass is so much better... FFIV seemed to use a lot of bass in its themes.

  • @incredicassio Uhuh... no that would be Kuja... my friend.

  • Anyone have some tips? I've fought this guy for ages and I can't beat him lol no matter how much I grind. It probably doesn't help I still have difficulty with the bosses before this getting special items etc

  • @RyuzakiFan1 which version? If you're talking about Zeromus he shouldnt be a huge hassle I havent fought him on the DS version, but i have pwnt him tons of times on the SNES, PSX, and GBA versions. If i remember right its his big bang attack you need watch out for I recommend having a party of 50ish+ atleast enough to survive his onslaught with it. party members need more the 2500 HP to survive it and can only hope he doesnt do it b2b also its a waste to try and keep buffs up his White Hole will

  • @WhipLash42o DS Zeromus is harder. Especially because of Meteor when he runs low on HP.

  • @RyuzakiFan1 remove and buffs you put up and he'll do it too best to just keep Rosa at the ready for Cure 4 or Curaja and Have Kain Jump, Cecil spam attack, and Edge spam attack too, Rydia should stick with bahamut instead of meteor since it's faster and nicer on mp and also have her ready to pop Ether's/Elixers on her and Rosa. Also be sure to get the lunarian weapons dont think i need to say that though.

  • I never even got to zeromus but I am very close to him

  • this would happen if FF VI was in V : Edgar chain saw on ex death

instant tree cut AKA instant death you beat the game!

  • it slower than the original

  • 0:50 - 1:25 was epic... but the reall epic is from 0:00 - 2:51

  • i think they want this theme to be all epic and fitting for the last battle THAT determines the world fate .. and guess what .. YOU DID IT AGAIN SQUARE !!

  • This sounds so bad compared to the SNES version.

  • I mean, watching the enemy move (Zeromus) and him being so big and all, and that bit from 1:01 to 1:33 is just epic in my opinion. He's so cool. :P I love FF4!

  • DS is better than GBA in my opinion.

  • @mag237 I only played the DS version which is really good fun! I've heard the GBA has extra side quests, were they any good?

  • @Navi1Lo yes they are

  • @mag237 This one seems slower...

  • I used cheats cause these bosses were butt-rapingly hard

  • The reason that this song is bad is because of the lack of depth in the music

  • After everything my team went through in this game, I was so ready to kick Zeromus's teeth down his throat. I exhausted my MP supply, but we won. Cecil got the last hit. How appropriate.

  • I WON'T BE SO FORGIVING THIS TIME AROUND !

I WILL PUT YOU IN THE GROUND !

  • @craigbout You can't stop me now, I'm more powerful than you!

  • @SpartanB146 You puny half-wit, I'll hit you with my dick!

  • @Yoshkev Chaos reigns upon you and you question yourself, you find that messing with the best is never good for your health!

  • @SpartanB146 Bitch you'd better go home, and cry to your mom, 'cause I've been fuckin' practicin' and takin' my time!

  • @Yoshkev You're good, but you're no Sephiroth!

  • @SpartanB146 You're startin' to piss me off right now!

  • @Yoshkev /slap. Both of you shush. It really doesn't matter what both of you are talking about; we are here to enjoy the music.

  • @faltzar2 Then simply don't read it! Just listen to the music and don't look at the comments!

  • @Yoshkev But the problem is th-

You know what? You two look like you're having fun. I'll stay out of this.

  • @faltzar2 Well, actually the verse of the song we were quoting is over now^^

  • @FainaruFantajiTen Where is that version? O.o

  • @FainaruFantajiTen Agreed

  • I just beat this asshole on the PSP version, like the original arrangements better. This one sounds slower in my opinion, nonetheless great game!

  • I actually stuck to the arranged music in the PSP version, which is basically the DS arrangements, and I will say this, believe it or not this version is not bad at all. While it's not quite as good as the original verison, it's quite listenable, and still packs alot of the same punch. It just sounds a bit more...organic, and does have some added layers of music in the background. Alot of the DS arrangements do sound better than the original overall though, especially "Long Way to Go".

  • OMG! Zeromus was epicly hard! D: It was only thanks to Rosa that I got healed everytime he created a universe or two xD

  • 1:16 to 1:40=ass kicking time

  • god damn big bang !!!!!!!!!!! then he goes to metore that dose like next to no damage like wtf O.o

  • "dinner!"

this is so epic theme and specially when heard it in video Final Spagetti.

  • Big bang attack nuff said lol

  • Imagine this playing while Garland knocks us all down. Awesooooooooooome.

  • After I saw Zeromus in DS I found out how where was his face. =D

    I love the DS version.

  • @frostare Same best version. (even though The PSP version has the orignal game, tay, and an in between story..)

  • lol all I typed was "epic boss theme" and 'poof' I find this M&L, Chrono Trigger, Darkstalkers, MVC and of course this!

  • @PsOne4Life Aw, no Dragon Quest IX? Hahahaha

  • @frostare oh that too, well I ain't real familiar with Dragon quest... ah, I'll go study a bit of it

  • Ash Ketchum disliked this because Final Fantasy IV is more epic than Pokemon.

  • @MasterDragon130 Nah they are both a great game lol.

  • @Sylux9501 Yes, they are. FF is still more epic.

  • @MasterDragon130 lol sooooooo true

  • As far as DS arranged versions of this song go, I kind like this one better: watch?v=tDsYJMxR0gc

I think it should have more views than it does. I'm not surprised it doesn't though. The Chocobo games don't get a ton of attention in general, and on top of that, that particular game wasn't released outside of Japan.

  • Everybody sucks.

Now listen to this excellent theme!

  • This song isn't suited for this tempo. It just becomes very, VERY powerless this way. If it was faster, it would be MUCH more powerful.

  • What the hell is going on under my comment lol

  • @Witsarunemitea Apparently, people are sucking. But at what? (Epic egoraptor-style "O" Face!!)

  • You both suck? Wow, you both must really suck

  • @Devintuel It is I! Some guy here for the argument!

    You suck.

  • It feels like fighting Zeromus while stuck in a swamp...

  • It feels so slow...I prefer the advance version

  • The DS soundtrack feels way too light.....

  • This would've sounded much better if they didn't keep the high-pitched instruments.

(Sorry, my knowledge of instruments is very limited.)

  • Mh. It's...

    Different. (Hey there', cap'n obvious!)

    Still cool, anyway.

  • Now, I'm gonna be bitchy and complain, but this just misses the whole idea of the original theme. It's slower than a snail! I guess it would be O.K. if it was menacing, but it ain't, not at all.

  • I like this, but GameBoy version IS 100times BETTER

  • @DarkMaximo324 yeah because you got to fight zeromus eg

  • Honestly, this version doesn't pack the epic punch the original SNES version packed. It's slower than the SNES version, and doesn't quite sound as epic, IMO.

That's not to say this version is bad. It just doesn't compare to the original version, which is, IMO (again), one of (if not the) best final boss themes I've ever heard (only rivaled by Dancing Mad).

  • This song is lame, but I'm not puting a thumb down like the other 24 who though the same.

  • I think Edge finally learned how to use Shadow Clones, because there's 24 dislikes.

  • EXODI-..erm..I mean. ZEROMUS!!!!!

  • the drums in this version are ass

  • Too slow. The added keyboard is nice, though.

  • its 22 now looks like golbez, elder, yangs wife ,fabul king ,giott, the dwarves and every one else. kill zeromus yay. :)

  • You know, I'm officialy rating this song a "Don't knock it 'till you hear it" song. Once you battle Zeromus in the DS version a few times, this song actually isn't that bad. =)

  • @SuperMissile yeah, well i played it on the SP. music on that was better. it all had Bass.

  • Wonder how bored Nobu must had have been when he had to do this a third time

  • @ShadieWolf94 Actually, Nobuo had no doing in FFIV DS. Square just took the music and remade it. He is mentioned in the credits but it (if I remember) listed him as Original Composition in them.

  • EVIL.... IS EVOLUTION..... AT ITS FINEST!!!!
