Lol My schnauzer does the exact same thing. First he goes on a raft and then he goes into the water. He loves to swim in the pool. During the summer time we have to watch him extra cause he will go running towards it and try to jump in. Oddly enough he loves the pool and bath but hates the rain.

@jilln210 Lol I have the same problem with my miniature schnauzers when its time for a bath we actually find its better to give them showers instead maybe you could try that instead it worked for me.

Hi "mal" Just to set your mind at ease, its a wiffle bat the boy has in his hands. (a light hollow plastic toy) if you have ever played with one in a pool there pretty cool.. It just a pool toy and the dogs love to chase it across the water. We do not hit or beat our pets. They are our pets not "animals". They are loved members of our family.

Our two do the same thing. We came home the other day and both of those jackasses were floating on a raft in the pool. We live in Arizona but we do have a doggie-door so they can come inside to get cooled down. I guess they decided to cool down in the water instead. They are both trained and know where the steps are in the pool.

My schnauzer sinks, like the Titanic. He tries his hardest, but his butt slowly sinks, then his front legs, then his head starts to go and we have to call in the lifeguard, usually me lol. Its rather funny to watch, we just have to make sure Watson doesn't seizure... does anyone else here have an epileptic schnauzer?

My Winston and Bonnie hated the water. Winston only would go up to his armpits when he would try and get the swan at Martha's Vineyard. Bonnie would start "swimming" in the air if I carried her towards the water. She didn't like swimming for real. Cute video!

It's so cute the way they know to jump on the raft. I'm glad to see they have a way to easily get out, and know to use it. They look like they're having a lot of fun.
