Hey Great video - Easy to follow and really enjoyable :)
I have just done a fun video called "History of pop in 100 riffs" , and this is one of the riffs featured in it - i love this song so had to include it.
Please check out the video on my piano and take the challenge to see if you can name the famous keyboard riffs ;)
Hope you keep on making these kind of videos , as i wish youtube was about when i took up the piano / keyboard.
All the best, and please have a look at my new vid
Thanks for posting this classic. The sheet music for the original piano part for The Beatles' "Lady Madonna" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.

Unfortunately, Paul did not create this riff. He lifted it from a 1930's blues piano tune called "Penny Blues." Note for note, it was lifted. . .the Mac image is tarnished, huh?
@randeb5567 not even close. even if he did use a riff off of some 30s song. He is still the greatest musician of all time. He has still written hundreds of AMAZING pieces.
@MiraculousJeff That would be paul mccartney. And I definitely agree that paul mccartney is pure musical genius... I've known that for a looong time, my friend.
You've applied the KISS principle (Keep It Simple, Stupid) to this song with great results! There's something about uncluttered piano arrangements that lets the notes sound out more. Kudos to you!
No disrespect, but I couldn't stop laughing as i noticed your small photo(from a distance) looks remarkably similar to Leo Sayer....'playing Lady Madonna...'
@altoidyoda For some reason, these online tutors all play it in A, but I just listened to the Beatles version and it appears to be in B flat, which is a very nice piano key. Seems like if you're gonna teach an all-time classic, you would teach it as written and played by McCartney.
@sportsmediaamerica I'll argue in favor of it being in A. I've listened to studio and live versions and it's discernibly in A; if I play in Bb, it's not in tune. You'd have to explain why McCartney's left hand roots on a white key instead of a black key in 1:19 of watch?v=XPwLnGQzKEg. There's also enough tablature to evidence it's in A. You must be listening to some vinyl or something.
@sportsmediaamerica i think the C sharp is one of those implied things that just results from the harmony of the left and right hands playing , but damn to actually play it like that ( with the C#) is some bad ass technique
I actually don't know the next part. I can do the left hand, but I never learned the right, it's a bit harder. When I do learn it, I'll be sure to post it in the same manner.
its hard to do low notes i tried but i can do the high notes! Thanks!

There is no C in the bass in the intro. it just goes - A , C#, D./ The c is left to the bass guitar

It's true that Bad Penny Blues shares stylistic similarities to the Lady Madonna riff but to call it a rip off is a bit rich

I've been trying to nail this using Pianojohn113's tutorial and have been finding it a lot harder than expected.
This one feels a little lighter in tone as less notes are involved and strikes me as being closer to the actual Beatles recording.

Right Hand is dead on. Left Hand is wrong. it's simpler then what your doing all octaves.
A1 A2, C#1 C#2, D1 D2

@andhemills Yep, it's in A. No dispute there. I see the light. I think tape speed explains my earlier issue.

The second part's easy if you know the chords and the bassline; it's not nearly as fancy as the intro riff.
