Why is a two year "boot" trying to teach the rookie about "fully open"? Lots of movement, but action that only required half the excitement. Relax guys and take a few seconds to have a plan. Five seconds of thinking, saves about ten minutes of effort. Nice fire though.
there are 2 lines involved here, the first one the boot is handling is the 1 3/4" notice the yellow on the nozzle. The second line is an 1 1/2". I'll take two attack lines totaling 325 gpm with better mobility than one line, 2 1/2" at 325 gpm. LAcity13 is right, It really isn't a big fire. The title is misleading.
umno its not? its the hose sizes 2 1/2 inch hose and 1 1/2 inch hose on a LA city Engine theres a 1 3/4 hose line for structure fires its yellow and theres a 1 1/2 hose for usually auto fires etc its white with black/grey theres the 1 inch hose line for brush fires its white and theres the 2 1/2 for structure fires like commercial fires theres the high rise hose pack for high rise buildings to connect to standpipes etc thats dark grey and theres the 4 inch supply hose line thats to the hydrant
hey man this isent exciting ok getting your house burned down to the ground is not exciting expecially when you have pets and they just die becasue you were woring to much about saving your own ass!

big fire = big water guys...wrong handlines to pull on this one...2 1/2 would be proper choice..not 1 3/4
txfirefighter 4 years ago
the hose they are using is a 1 a/2" line... 2 1/2" line would be better
