Um, without ruining it for you, sommat about how to get rid of a clingy gf: clone yourself and let her have him rofl. Rose was 'fantastic', needed Billy to kick-start the show but it's sad she cast a long dark shadow over the 10th Doc's life. Martha brought unconditional loyalty, ending on a happy note. Was nice not to finish a series in floods of tears for once. Plus - he's on her speed dial.

Martha and Rose are two different characters in Doctor Who. Rose's character is that of an urban youth at risk of falling into a life menial jobs and dead end relationships before she met the Doctor. Martha is a Doctor at a hospital with just a boring job before she met the Doctor.

Each of these characters broke down the social barrier to live more challenging lives. Martha and Rose became more self-reliant to make up their own minds.

Life is out there if you can come out of your shell.

the last episode, going back to john smith (aka. the doctor in disguised)'s wife's great great granddaughter, it was so sad when she said "were u happy?" and the doctor just barely grins and almost reduced to tears as he walks away. one of the most depressing scenes ive ever seen in tv history. and it came down to his adventure RIGHT here. it is truly unbelievably stunning and depressing :'(
