Do scientific discoveries and knowledge cause such a scientist to conclude that matter, *unknowing and unperceiving *, is his creator and that of all beings?
No?
Then how can the duped atheists and some of the scientists delude themselve and *believe* that hydrogen and oxygen, electrons and protons, should first produce themselves, then be the source for all other beings, and finally decree the laws that regulate themselves and the rest of the material world?

@DeanLeysen i dont think smitten is the word to use unless your saying smitten by the ground; the real term would be decapitated by the chutes straps; electrocuted by lightning; or worse Vasectomy by vicious villagers........
@kazaryu Be carefull with discussing chute straps with belgians..even our most simple first grade teachers do nasty and deadly things with this. (just saying).
@TheCatinamousetrap How would that be a problem? Buddhism isnt even a religion, even though the western societies often label it as one. It doesnt even have a god or much in common with religions whatsoever. Its more about self exploration and living in balance. Also another thing i wanted to mention - DeanLeysen, why do you connect spirituality and god? Let the religions deal with the god stuff, spirituality stands alone, dont need to be religious to be a spiritual person. Give it some thought
MAN YO NIGGAZ DIS B THE PRIMO SHIT I TAKE A GRL LIKE DIS ANYDAY A BROTHA GOTZTA GET WHA DEY CAN YO SO ALL DA HATERZ CAN HATE ON DEY JUS BE KRACKA KRACKA WACK HAHA I BE LIKE EEEYYOOO FOO MLK
im a christian and usually when i watch videos about atheist i get sort of offended because of how much they insult us, but i got much respect for you because you didnt diss any one but instead you were completely humble about everything.
Hmmm..I think it's a misconception to say science is a total contrast to religion - they really aren't two opposite ends of a stick. In some ways they me contradict eachother, but the core values in religion and message is not really 'defeated' by modern science.
With physics (the most fundamental science) we can descirbe various observable phenomena. Describe is key here, at no point does physics explain:
@falcodarkzz very true, I've thought this same thing for a while. I think people can sometimes be close minded towards religion, when like as you said the core values and messages relate very much to science.
Personally, I don't think it's admirable to respect peoples views who don't support their beliefs with evidence. If you keep your religion to yourself we don't have a problem, but if you protest the funerals of our servicemen, promote creationism in schools, and bomb buildings all on the foundation of faith, we've got a problem.
@BadMannerKorea I understand entirely where you're coming from. I'm a Christian, all I wanna say is that bombing, protests of funerals, etc etc is very obnoxious, ignorant, and stupid to me as well. However, I do think that creationism is something that can be taught as a theory just like evolution, in schools. Teach both sides of the story, but don't try and push anyone to believe either one.
I think you're a little confused as to what a Theory means in scientific discourse. Gravity is a theory, and the same applies to the germ theory of disease. As far as the 'teach both sides" argument, should we teach alchemy after chemistry, or how about when third grade children learn that we went to the moon, we teach them that we never did?
@BadMannerKorea They teach evolution and the big bang as a theory in schools. It would not hurt to teach creationism, the other of how Earth started. And the FACT that we have sent people to the moon is just that, Fact. Same w/ Chemistry, it's FACTUAL information. While Alchemy has no real scientific basis. If you didn't really get my last comment, I was respecting your opinion and simply giving you my own, no need to be bitter about it.
I understood your comment. But if you want creationism taught in schools, then we should be fair and teach astrology after astronomy as well, right? Evolution is a fact (please, go look up what a Theory means in the scientific realm, we aren't talking about the common usage of 'theory'), and we have plenty of evidence to support the Big Bang.
To teach in schools that the Earth is 10,000 years old, that the Bible is Gods word, talking snakes exist, and you'll burn in hell for eternity is not only ludicrous, but an insult to the intelligence of humankind.
@BadMannerKorea I also have my own evidence. What I think of Evolution and the Big Bang seems ludicrous to me, but not to you. But anything can be rationalized. You can try and rationalize that science to me and I won't believe it and I can try and rationalize Christianity to you and you won't believe it.
Your subjective evidence doesn't apply here, and if you think it does, I suggest that you make history, publish your work and prove the existence of God while disproving evolution and the big bang. I mean, you're 16 years old, I'm sure your evidence is quite compelling. Needless to say, I know quite a lot about Christianity and the Bible, so, I think you're a little out of your league considering your age, and lack of knowledge about basic scientific terms. That's my exit.
@puppylover258 if they taught christianity in schools then they would have to teach about every other bullshit religion too. evolution is fact, creationism is disproved theory
Anyone who has gone to a fucking museum can see the evidence for evolution. Clearly, you haven't been to one, nor read any books. Can you go to a museum and see the evidence for God? Oh, YOU CAN? Holy shit, it's called the Creation Museum!! Where they teach scientifically illiterate people that WE LIVED WITH DINOSAURS. Get real, go educate yourself.
@BadMannerKorea no it's not proved it's only a theory there are some things that u can find that fit correctly with the evolution theory but that does not at all prove thats the truth the same as a christian can believe that a miracle happend to him but that does not really prove to everyone that god exists
I already went over the difference between a Theory in science and a theory in layman's terms. I'm not going to explain it again, except by saying that gravity is a Theory. You get my point. However, it seems I'm going to have to repeat myself again. You can literally see the transition in how we've evolved as a species, you can see the bone structure, and you can also see other species that have done the same. You can see the distribution of species in the world etc etc.
@BadMannerKorea walk out of america and talk to the large number of religious people who don't do what u wrote up there. no offfence or disrespect to ur believes though. i'm just saying. =).
Obviously not everyone blows up buildings, but every religious person pretends to know things they can't possibly know. I don't respect people for that, and neither should you.
@BadMannerKorea i don't think EVERY or even many religious people claim that. I know alot of those who are being an asshole using religion does. but then, alot of religious people don't go out to prove the existence of God for one reason : religion has told them from the start that those believes are faith based. faith based means no prove and can't be proved. we can't prove if someone loves us or not. in fact, love might not exist. but we feel like it exists. i think it applies here. =).
@poppotaku Science understands love on a chemical and a physical level. We understand the changes in the brain when love occurs, so your example about love is quite useless. However, even if we couldn't provide evidence for love (which we know is not the case) it doesn't give anyone the right to pretend to know they are going to Heaven, or that their religious text is Gods word etc. And yes, faith is believing in something without evidence, which I've said before, I don't respect.
@BadMannerKorea Wait, who says every religious person pretends to know things they can't possibly know. Isn't that a sweeping generalization? You should know that...
Definition of religious--relating to or manifesting faithful (key word here, faith) devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity (also a key word, deity).
Faith would only be knowledge if you accidently stumble upon the truth. No where in the definition of faith do you see the word evidence or facts. However, when you look at the definition of knowledge, what do you see? You see such words as facts, truth, information and " certain understanding, as opposed to opinion".
Faith is believing in something without evidence, and sometimes despite the evidence, it is completely different than knowledge.
@BadMannerKorea Exactly, so back to the original question. Do ALL religious people pretend to KNOW things they can't possibly know? Let me rephrase the question. As a religious person, SHOULD they pretend to KNOW things they couldn't possibly know?
Yes, all people who are religious pretend to know things they cannot know. (I already said this) Believing in God, that your text is Gods word, that an afterlife exists, etc--- you have zero evidence, but yet you believe it anyway. I don't know how many times I have to say it, but faith is without evidence, once you have evidence it is no longer faith, and you are no longer pretending.
@BadMannerKorea See now you're making assumptions about me...you sure love assumptions now don't you. "You, Your" Let's take the prejudice and assumptions out of this, yes? Anyways, I feel like you just completely disregarded everything I just said. Faith is NOT Knowledge, it is belief. Not all religious people accept their beliefs as reality. The opposite is also true. You should tweak your statement to, "In your experience, all people who..." because I have not shared your experience.
@BadMannerKorea What is wrong with this logic? Faith=Belief. Faith=/= knowledge. Christians have faith. Therefore all Christians think they know. Do you see the lapse in logic. You are filling in your logic with your own preconceptions about Christians. "All Christians are closed minded." "All Christians are stubborn." "All Christians are Judgmental and hateful." These preconceptions on how you think Christians SHOULD be are clouding your own logical thinking.
I don't think that refutes the fact that if you have faith you don't have evidence. You can't change definitions. If you have faith, you don't have evidence.
@BadMannerKorea belief's aren't the same things as facts..2+2=4 thats a fact and we can prove that...Belief can require faith or logically putting known things in a pattern that makes sense to you..problem is it might not make sense to anyone else
Beliefs are a way in which we view the world, and sometimes, it is our best effort to map reality. Our beliefs go along with what we consider facts or with what we believe as true. People have faith about certain things with zero evidence, and sometimes they believe in things that are not even close to being factual (Earth is 10,000 years old etc) and yet they consider them true. 2+2=4 won't always equal 4, especially if you ask the ignorant/uneducated down the street.
@BadMannerKorea agree but 2+2 always is 4 :) unless your dyslexic then it may =6 lol. the 10K or 5k that the earth is...some English priest a hundred yrs ago came up with that number...how? i have no clue..i get the feeling he was dyslexic :) and didnt put enough zero's in his math..But that said we didn't know about carbon dating till 1940 which let use accurately date things that are thousands if not more years old...
Dean could you talk about what "open-minded" really means and how to maintain an open mind? Maybe how people need to make sure they aren't believing something just because everyone else does; how we sub-consciously want to follow the crowd and make up excuses to do so. This is similar to your vodka video but more towards the ignorance of masses not experts. I'm not attacking religion with this because I think there is plenty of lies and misconceptions worse than religion to worry about..
I'd Rather chill with the real you than the guy you act like on your other channel. I wish I knew what the reason was behind all of this. Maybe you have explained it and I just haven't found it yet. I am a newcomer to your channels and so far, I like this one more for down to earth shit and the other one I like more for a good laugh. PeAcE.
@Corey111588 His other channel is just a comedy channel that he made randomly for fun. I saw the video where he explained this, I can't remember which though. Sorry. But this is his serious channel and both are pretty amazing. One to laugh, one to have your mind blown. This man is a genius, lool.
Do you think a religious person would jump out of a plane without a parachute ? Your example is not relevant but it points out that you probably think you don't NEED God because you have "a parachute"
@LaymK He didn't mean it in a mean way, just stating a fact. Though a prayer would probably at least help your nerves lool, or reliance ON the parachute.
Sad how belief in God is associated with stupidity.
God helps those who help themselves.

Dear Leysen , I really enjoy your OG furious videos. I am very interested towards social dynamics and i am studying them in my spare time as well. now:just a question: where do you find information on that particular area ( what books do yu recoomand, what site or stuff like that.) I am really looking towards your coment.
I am also member of Ipower >> my name is konstantin on that community website ( with a pinguin logo) THANX!
I just want to say that I watch every single video that you post and it would make my whole world for you just to mention my name in your videos just once so I can brag to everyone I know.. hahaha!
im christian. And If i jumped out of an aeroplane I'd take the parachute before a prayer as well. Spirituality in Jesus does not attempt to refute science in anyway. With special exclusion to the theory of Macro-Evolution. :)
Science is only a gateway into finding the genius of God.
The intricacies of what he's created. If a red blood cell could think, it would never know it was in a vein, in a human body, so how can we be so arrogant to deny a being who brought us here.
Forget the church and how they interpret the bible. Most of the time they're money hungry people who pretend to know God. Find your own way, just meditate for 5 mins today and see the results I think you'll like them.
Sounds like you assume religion and "laws of nature" are incompatible. This is simply not true. Wearing a parachute to jump out of an airplane in no way conflicts with any religion or spiritual practice/belief I can think of. Dumb analogy.
@couchpants123 He didnt mean it that way, he gave that example to clearify he rather relies on science than religion. In his newest video he actually supports the idea of religion being compatible with science.

so you respect all beliefs?
for example, did you know that antisemitic attacks in belgium are doubling every year?
see, some people take words like that very seriously:
"oh ye who believe, take not the jews and christians for friends"-surah5.verse51
"allah fighteth against them [jews]. how perverse they are"-s9.v30
"in truth the disbelievers are an open enemy to you"-s9.v101
some people strongly believe things they read and eben act on them.
can you really say that you respect ALL beliefs?really

Is it weird that I believe in Buddhism but still maintain a mutual faith in science? It's all gooood. Peace and love xxxx
TheCatinamousetrap 10 months ago
@TheCatinamousetrap How would that be a problem? Buddhism isnt even a religion, even though the western societies often label it as one. It doesnt even have a god or much in common with religions whatsoever. Its more about self exploration and living in balance. Also another thing i wanted to mention - DeanLeysen, why do you connect spirituality and god? Let the religions deal with the god stuff, spirituality stands alone, dont need to be religious to be a spiritual person. Give it some thought
iousup 10 months ago
@TheCatinamousetrap No. Buddhism is the only scientific approach to spirituality there is. Check out Ajahn Chah if you haven't already done so.

-Why conciousness exist
-Why the laws of the universe are as observed
I'm atheist btw
falcodarkzz 11 months ago
@falcodarkzz very true, I've thought this same thing for a while. I think people can sometimes be close minded towards religion, when like as you said the core values and messages relate very much to science.

Well, you can have both a parachute and a prayer LOL
Xookazoid77 11 months ago
Personally, I don't think it's admirable to respect peoples views who don't support their beliefs with evidence. If you keep your religion to yourself we don't have a problem, but if you protest the funerals of our servicemen, promote creationism in schools, and bomb buildings all on the foundation of faith, we've got a problem.

@BadMannerKorea wow. finally someone said it.
ddelfao 11 months ago
@BadMannerKorea I understand entirely where you're coming from. I'm a Christian, all I wanna say is that bombing, protests of funerals, etc etc is very obnoxious, ignorant, and stupid to me as well. However, I do think that creationism is something that can be taught as a theory just like evolution, in schools. Teach both sides of the story, but don't try and push anyone to believe either one.
puppylover258 11 months ago
@puppylover258
BadMannerKorea 11 months ago
@BadMannerKorea They teach evolution and the big bang as a theory in schools. It would not hurt to teach creationism, the other of how Earth started. And the FACT that we have sent people to the moon is just that, Fact. Same w/ Chemistry, it's FACTUAL information. While Alchemy has no real scientific basis. If you didn't really get my last comment, I was respecting your opinion and simply giving you my own, no need to be bitter about it.
puppylover258 11 months ago
@puppylover258

@puppylover258
To teach in schools that the Earth is 10,000 years old, that the Bible is Gods word, talking snakes exist, and you'll burn in hell for eternity is not only ludicrous, but an insult to the intelligence of humankind.
BadMannerKorea 11 months ago
@BadMannerKorea I also have my own evidence. What I think of Evolution and the Big Bang seems ludicrous to me, but not to you. But anything can be rationalized. You can try and rationalize that science to me and I won't believe it and I can try and rationalize Christianity to you and you won't believe it.
puppylover258 11 months ago
@puppylover258
BadMannerKorea 11 months ago
@BadMannerKorea I'll give you that, I'm young. For now, agree to disagree?
puppylover258 11 months ago
@puppylover258 if they taught christianity in schools then they would have to teach about every other bullshit religion too. evolution is fact, creationism is disproved theory
flymofo3eb 11 months ago
@flymofo3eb Creationism never was a theory to begin with.... a theory in science has a different meaning than in real life.
crywolf30 11 months ago
@BadMannerKorea there is no more evidance for evolution than there is for god they are both very far fetched and could be way wrong
xXJeReMiAhXx99 10 months ago
@xXJeReMiAhXx99
BadMannerKorea 10 months ago
@BadMannerKorea no it's not proved it's only a theory there are some things that u can find that fit correctly with the evolution theory but that does not at all prove thats the truth the same as a christian can believe that a miracle happend to him but that does not really prove to everyone that god exists
xXJeReMiAhXx99 10 months ago
@xXJeReMiAhXx99
BadMannerKorea 10 months ago
@BadMannerKorea walk out of america and talk to the large number of religious people who don't do what u wrote up there. no offfence or disrespect to ur believes though. i'm just saying. =).
poppotaku 9 months ago
@poppotaku
Obviously not everyone blows up buildings, but every religious person pretends to know things they can't possibly know. I don't respect people for that, and neither should you.
BadMannerKorea 9 months ago
@BadMannerKorea i don't think EVERY or even many religious people claim that. I know alot of those who are being an asshole using religion does. but then, alot of religious people don't go out to prove the existence of God for one reason : religion has told them from the start that those believes are faith based. faith based means no prove and can't be proved. we can't prove if someone loves us or not. in fact, love might not exist. but we feel like it exists. i think it applies here. =).
poppotaku 9 months ago
@poppotaku Science understands love on a chemical and a physical level. We understand the changes in the brain when love occurs, so your example about love is quite useless. However, even if we couldn't provide evidence for love (which we know is not the case) it doesn't give anyone the right to pretend to know they are going to Heaven, or that their religious text is Gods word etc. And yes, faith is believing in something without evidence, which I've said before, I don't respect.
BadMannerKorea 9 months ago
@BadMannerKorea Wait, who says every religious person pretends to know things they can't possibly know. Isn't that a sweeping generalization? You should know that...
LilDP 8 months ago
@LilDP
Definition of religious--relating to or manifesting faithful (key word here, faith) devotion to an acknowledged ultimate reality or deity (also a key word, deity).
BadMannerKorea 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea Alright then define faith.
LilDP 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea Meh I'm bored, so I'll define it for you. Faith - A strongly held belief or theory. Does Faith equal knowledge?
LilDP 8 months ago
@LilDP
BadMannerKorea 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea Exactly, so back to the original question. Do ALL religious people pretend to KNOW things they can't possibly know? Let me rephrase the question. As a religious person, SHOULD they pretend to KNOW things they couldn't possibly know?
LilDP 8 months ago
@LilDP
BadMannerKorea 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea See now you're making assumptions about me...you sure love assumptions now don't you. "You, Your" Let's take the prejudice and assumptions out of this, yes? Anyways, I feel like you just completely disregarded everything I just said. Faith is NOT Knowledge, it is belief. Not all religious people accept their beliefs as reality. The opposite is also true. You should tweak your statement to, "In your experience, all people who..." because I have not shared your experience.
LilDP 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea What is wrong with this logic? Faith=Belief. Faith=/= knowledge. Christians have faith. Therefore all Christians think they know. Do you see the lapse in logic. You are filling in your logic with your own preconceptions about Christians. "All Christians are closed minded." "All Christians are stubborn." "All Christians are Judgmental and hateful." These preconceptions on how you think Christians SHOULD be are clouding your own logical thinking.
LilDP 8 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@LilDP
I don't think that refutes the fact that if you have faith you don't have evidence. You can't change definitions. If you have faith, you don't have evidence.
BadMannerKorea 8 months ago
@BadMannerKorea belief's aren't the same things as facts..2+2=4 thats a fact and we can prove that...Belief can require faith or logically putting known things in a pattern that makes sense to you..problem is it might not make sense to anyone else
stompySharpNpointy 7 months ago
@stompySharpNpointy
