This is when racing was like 10x better especially in the truck series. These guys could still race around with a beat up and damaged truck at Daytona thats amazing you dont see that even today. The competition just seemed that much better. No tapered spaces was the best thing about it and gave better passing abilities.

I knew Kurt Busch made his first start that race, but I DIDN'T KNOW JAMIE MCMURRAY RACED IN THE TRUCK SERIES BACK IN 2000! I thought he started racing in 2002!
