The dit of this song doesn't give you everything. Its lost the dreamlike quality. The original version from Buck's independantly produced Cd has these spiraling guitar leads that just drop me to my knees and make me cry.

The lyrics to this song are by Patti Smith. Buck found them in a notebook and used them.

Yeah, he was a pretty well respected musician in his pre-American Idol days. He played with fusion musicians such as Jean-Luc Ponty and Narada Michael Walden (who also went over to The Dark Side, producing the likes of Whitney Houston).

He also played on Journey's Raised On Radio (the one album of their's I hate) and also on that tour. If you check out the videos for the songs The Girl Can't Help It and I'll Be Alright Without You, that's him playing bass.
