I grew up in the same age but it was my dad who saved for a year to buy our family a Nintendo Entertainment System with the Dual Cartridge of Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt and then about 2 weeks into it he bought the Legend Of Zelda. I'd never seen my father play a more addicting video game than Zelda.

Centipede was a fav of mine for a time, but it sounds like you may not be old enough to have enjoyed that ever so modern game called Space Race. The object was to make it to the top of the screen before the other player and not get hit by asteroids (or whatever that space debris was).

@RightArmProductions That sounds like a fun game. One of the other arcade games I liked was Marble Madness. Man, I saw a guy spinning that wheel so hard that he almost break that machine.
