@volvo97000 oh god no! first of all they would need somebody to do snake's voice, which I'd bet a million dollars nobody in hollywood can do unless there are some hardcore MGS lovers like us which is highly unlikely. secondly and ill end it with this : if you watched the movie noticed how the flow of the movie was almost as if you we're playing another metal gear solid.

the only bad things I have to say about philanthropy:

it ended like the two towers, lol

and the only characters from the actual game were snake and otacon... and otacon only had about THREE LINES... probably cuz the guy who voiced him for the announcement looks nothing like him maybe lawl

MGSP is so epic, I watched it about 5 times already, once by myself, once with my lil bro, twice with a couple of friends, and my teacher let me choose a movie to watch with the whole class so i chose this. Its really great, hollywood could try to make a movie on mgs all they want be they could never do it as good as Hive Devision

I love this damn movie its so bad ass it really captures the feel of the games. Hollywood needs to let fans direct and write game movies instead of writers and actors who never even played or care about the games. This is the first game movie I actually liked and it was low budget that's funny as hell.

the concep was running for about 5 years if im not mistaken.

There were some snipnets of stuff done in 06

There was a briefing video released with otacon and bishop trying to encourage snake to join philanthropy.

I was suprised there was no Romanenko though considering she played a big roll in establishing philanthropy.

There was also some footage of a sniper battle in a snowy plain put out there too. I havent been able to find both.

Here is my opinion on this movie. They kept it realistic and at the same time had us suspended in the world of MGS. I don't think Hollywood can do any better then this. I would say for all MGS fans to go and see MGS: Philanthropy.

I am surprised that this isn't advertised more. This has the same haunting effect all the songs on MGS have. Great choice for a fan made movie, and if Hollywood makes an MGS movie it may not be able to compare to MGS:Philanthropy.

Because Snakes cold mysterious nature makes us feel sorry for how lonley and meaningless his life is. That is possibly more upsetting than any kind of melodramatic acting you can get. A sad lonley killer, who people won't stop screwing over. But he just takes it..because thats all he lives for, battle.
