Regarding folks with "...plenty of experience in coding." like rofferjak, I wonder how much experience they have in developong, debugging, and deploying apps in a fast changing environment. Probably not much, or they could recognize this as a basic starting point, and figure out why their code doesn't work, rather than complain about someone else's coding example. This video is a worthy tutorial, with plenty of excellent advice for strating and developing your own apps.

@xOrthx Those are all syntax errors when it says "Expecting leftbrace/rightbrace/semicolon before" it means that around that line you are missing the proper syntax punctuation. Maybe you missed a color or a semicolon didn't close off a string or missed a parentheses.

there is loads of problems with this tutorial, but the one that i'm facing is that i don't have SVN checkout, i right click in the "papervision" folder but there isn't anything there apart from the standard settings, WTF!

@DannyShaubolo You should install the tortoisesvn first. Then it will prompt to restart your pc when the installation is finish. It works for me.

@ximagnesx I had this problem myself but if you just right click it and select SVN rep repo browser or select SVN and look in the drop down submenu, click repo browser. This will allow you to search repositories. From there enter the link he gives you above during the checkout phase and then i will give you all the files. from there navigate to the FLARToolKit folder and then click checkout. That is the long way of doing what he did.

Blender isn't difficult at all. Lookup a tutorial somewhere.

You can't use Sketchup because it can't export Collada files.

Plus, all other free 3d software sucks, frankly.

Hi, i've been trying to create an Augmented Reality for a project i am doing. I have followed the steps in the video up to about 2:26 where you have to "SVN CheckOut" and download the FLARToolKit files, etc. Once I have clicked Ok and opened the "FlarToolKit" folder, there are a different set of files and folders and there seems to be no "starter-kit" or "org" folder. Do you know what could be wrong?
