I got my 100% P&T 12 years after my discharge (I was discharged in 1981). They kept putting me off because I have an endocrine disorder that isn't in their ratings books. A retired FEMALE Navy E-9 (Master Chief Petty Officer) who worked for AMVETS as a Service Rep was the ONLY reason I finally got my rating!! If you are struggling to get your VA disability, get a SERVICE REP from AMVETS, American Legion, DAV, VFW, etc., Don't go it alone!!! It costs nothing and these folks work hard for you!!
note attrached promised him a prompt payment of$6,000.00 deposited into his account. guess what Dr Svertini changed his report which stated my pain has Ceased. why would I be continually taking morphine if my pain has ceased? I loved and enjoy my work in medicine of which I can't perform anymore. False reporting slip right pass all that fight for justice and want to do the right thing. Such a joke to watch how our federal claim examiners jot down lies then close our files expecting us to accept
Therefore my Owcp benefits were terminated more than 5 times simply because their doctors were constantly asked to change their reports due to Owcp stating they didnt understand the report. how funny after fightoing for 6 years still my benfits are terminated. the last doctor told the truth on his first report and oh how excited I was because finally the truth came out. But Owcp again informed dr Svertini that they didn't understand the report. Told him to submit a second report with the
proper protocols necessary. but after all the injections and medical testings didn't improve my lumbar. I was informed by HR that I couldn't get my retirement benefits from them because I waited too long to apply for them. But I told them I had applied 3 to 6 mos. earlier but my HR rep forgot and left my paperwork in her desk for at least 3mos. To no avail I was still denied my benefits from the VA after several attempts for justice No bbenefits were given. what was there to do after fighting?
Hey we injured federal government employees fully understand how the VA works and the many techniques that are used to help in denying benefits. for example my injury was due to housekeeping waxing my chair without posting a sign then of coarse I sit down to do the paperwork for my first veteran. When immediately I slid from my chair to the floor causing 3 discs to bend and presses on my nerves S1-L5 24/7 w/o any relief. The nevada office located at delta point acessed me through all the
I worked briefly for the VA benefits side, I truly wanted to work on all of my claims and get the vets the most I could. Apparently I was costing them money, so they let me go by stating that the supervisor at my previous job had bad things to say about me, this was AFTER WORKING FOR THE VA FOR 8 MONTHS! LOL the told me to sign my pink slip and write under it "leaving for personal reason". It was actually the best thing that ever happened to me. The VA is a complete joke.
It took me 14 years to get 100%. When I got out of the air force I was given 10% and the veteran's administration nickled and dimed me for the rest of that time...in spite of the nine letters stating that I am disabled from physicians all over southern california.
I was one of the last vets to be represented by the Red Cross's representatives.
I just want to say thanks to all you vets who came before me, because of you guys we can get the help we need. Today I was rated at 80% service connected this will help out alot because theyre are some jobs i just cant do. I jiust really want to say thanks.
If the Law were enforced, which of course it is not, you wouldnt have to navigate anything. Federal Law says the VA is supposed to help claimants, but we all know the truth is they delay and obfuscate.
This is f*coed up what the VA does to us vets!!! They lie to me all the time and i have to wait 9-12mons for each claim to go threw I can berlliy pay my bills if my wife wasn't in the army we would starve no joke but the VA doesn't give a shit!
The best thing to do is to get in contact with the DAV or disabled american veterans counselor. They have really helped me in my endeavors to up my percentage of benefits.
The process can be hard. My law firm helps vets & spouses apply for the aid & attendance pension which is the ONLY VA pension we handle. The A&A pension is designed to cover in-home care, nursing home or assisted living care. Call us if you are having problems or want information. No charge for telephone consultation. Jim Underhill, Underhill & Underhill 800-465-1266. We never charge the vet or spouse anything for filing applications. We are VA Accredited. Jim Underhill (MAJ, USAR Ret.)
It took me 12 years before I started getting benefits. I was unemployed all that time eating out of trash cans and unable to work because of service-connected disabilities.
I pretty much got dropped while recovering from a line-of-duty accident. See my Youtube profile and web site. It was disappointing to be treated like that.
