Ive seen many versions of DBZ, Japanese version which was good but the music was dated, the ocean version which was really great all around the only problem is they never finished voicing the entire show, then there is the ever popular newer English dub.I hate that dub, it is so poorly done the music is repetitive and monotonous rock, the voice acting was awful as the voice actors were trying to sound like the ocean group voices.This, though is superior in every way, how can people complain?!

Also, american style cartoons are better animated. Anime, like DBZ, cut corners by using less frames and movement. Look at Disney movies and see how fluid it is.

I prefer Chris Ayres over Linda Young, though. Frieza's a male, so he should sound male. But personally, I think a Mark Hamill-esque voice would have fit Frieza perfectly, given his striking resemblance to the Joker.

@BeeAyyeee Yessir, Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat reprise their roles as Goku and Vegeta. The same goes for Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, King Kai, etc. The only *main* characters with different voices are Bulma, Frieza, Gohan, and the Ginyu Force. Unless I'm forgetting someone, but I don't think I am.

I cant seem to watch this, I got use to the Funi Dubs. Too hard to see Frieza's voice like that, and Gohan doesnt sound like Gohan. I admit that the voices are bit funky in Funi, but Its what I grew up with and what most of us did too. Funi Ftw

@ImmaGohanKai In terms of visuals I always saw him as being about eight years old or so around that time, because he knew how to speak coherently and he was quite experienced as a fighter already. Just can't seem to picture the same as a five-year-old child -- even if he is a half-Saiyan. Then again, much of the anime/manga is weird and oftentimes unrealistic anyway. Saffron Henderson's voice acting of Gohan in the Ocean dub is probably my favorite English version of him honestly.

@BeeAyyeee Yessir, Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat reprise their roles as Goku and Vegeta. The same goes for Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, King Kai, etc. The only *main* characters with different voices are Bulma, Frieza, Gohan, and the Ginyu Force. Unless I'm forgetting someone, but I don't think I am.

@ImmaGohanKai In terms of visuals I always saw him as being about eight years old or so around that time, because he knew how to speak coherently and he was quite experienced as a fighter already. Just can't seem to picture the same as a five-year-old child -- even if he is a half-Saiyan. Then again, much of the anime/manga is weird and oftentimes unrealistic anyway. Saffron Henderson's voice acting of Gohan in the Ocean dub is probably my favorite English version of him honestly.
