that's a good question. truth is I was in the car listening to jack johnson's song and I walked out of the car singing sugar ray, and then it hit me that they were practically the same. it's amazing how many songs with such simple chord progressions are hits, and I wanted to show the public this. I just discovered that the new techno song "cry for you" is the same chord progression and key as the old song "Wicked Games" by Chris Isaak. No doubt the songwriter was influenced by Chris.

Yup, I actually play a cover which mixes these two songs together---they are essentially the same piece of music, except for Johnson's song has one added chord in the chorus.

Neat idea, though. It struck me as obvious immediately after Johnson released his song, and I'm glad you recognized it, too!

I agree with someone else that it could use a little bit of cleaning up because some of the verses and the chorus of both songs kind of mask the other one and it gets confusing to hear.

Other than that, great job mashing up both songs and finding that they both fit each other!

Wow, that is really incredible how well they work together! good job! Love both of these artists! Sugar Ray is sooo underrated though.
