if ur stuck with the storm 1 and dont like the os(operating system) because its slow Verizon released the official 5.0.0.328 witch is the same os the storm 2 runs on I've tried it but there are still minor glitches in it my main one was it would not play pandora right stupid i know but i have to have my pandora but yes the new os goes alot faster and it has very clean flick scrolling but like the old os u have to keep ur app memory high or it will freeze and crash hope i helped

Blackberry Storm is the WORST phone that was ever made.

Ive had mine since April, and its been nothing but hell. It freezes up, even after I delete everything I have on there. The Video camera doesnt work. The camera will freeze up the phone. When someone calls, I hit the answer button, then the screen flips to where the ignore button pushed. NO one could help me, Every place I take it to, they will not give me another one. They just shrug their shoulders and say " Sorry "

dude that freakin happened to me too! every time i hit lock the phone automatically unlocked itself about 10 seconds later. the screen would NEVER dim, and this kinda stuff (on the video) would happen. I gave it a battery pull and it stopped, and hasnt happened since. scary stuff though dude lol

My first one did that and my battery would die super fast and i was like wtf lol so i got a replacement and now its fine battery last a lot longer haha

mine doesn't do that quite as often but sometimes every min. or 2 the screen will dim then turn off n the come right back on a couple times in a row

I didn't pay to much attention just popping through vid. I know the auto dim bugged me the littlest light darkens it and darkness brightened it I turned mine off...and I set the timer to two minutes. I think in auto when it senses bright light it thinks you are touching the screen and via Mesa so the screen stays on or dims and brightens when detecting light try turning off auto dimm in the screen second of the options.

Hmmm that's really weird. It seems like something with the standby time...it thinks it's going into standby but realizes it's doing something so turns the screen back on...hmmm. Ah well it's good that you have a replacement, i doubt the new Storm will do the same thing. :)
