Let's say you have a full load like that or even larger like a 53' double stacked double column (what...52 pallets?) of freight or at least 26. Let's also say there actually is someone there to answer the CB and there is a dock available and you can back right up to it and she gets you out of there as soon as you unload it by yourself. Let's also assume you then have a short time till new trip. How long would it take you from calling to get a dock number to getting another load assigned to you?

I did Home Depot dedicated for 5 1/2 years. Never had to touch the freight. They would unload, and I'd go shopping! lol! Aren't you glad you don't usually get loads like that?! Loved the dispatcher joke! :)

Do they make all drivers unload their loads or what? when I worked at dollargeneral sometime back, the driver would unload by himself. I would think they would just deliver it and the store would unload but I guess it can go either way. Nothing like a lil' work to make it worthwhile huh?? :)
