A haunting and sad piece. I sometimes wonder if I´m going stumble onto Ezio´s grave or that his ghost is somewhere in the town watching me. Monteriggioni has changed next to nothing in 500 years. So much history in that town and it hits you in such a way that a tear stings your eye.
@Northcountyboca When you leave the Animus, you can walk up to Altair's statue in the sanctuary and press interact, and Desmond says "Hey, wassa-matta you, Altair?" and then Rebecca calls him racist, and then Lucy blows the whole thing out of proportion, and then Sean offers to do some reconcilitary yoga.
lol after this song i remember desmond having a vision when looking at the assassin statues saying ezio was here but way older REVELATION REFERENCE :D
In a few months I'm going to Italy and I'm going to stay in a place in Monteriggioni for a few nights. I'm going all across Italy. When I'm in Monteriggioni I'm gonna go out in the streets at night, wear my Desmond hoodie (Revelations), listen to this on my MP3 player and feel Ezio's presence.
This music is epic but creepy at the same time. Desmond has gone into a city that his ancestors lived in and is surrounded by visions of the past. It's almost as if Ezio's ghost lurks in the city. A calm assassin city became a templar occupied waste land. When I next go to Italy, I am gonna go to Monteriggioni, walk around at night, play this song on my MP3 and feel the presence of Ezio.
I remember hearing this song standing on the roof of the villa looking around me and think to myself: wauw, AC really is a fantastic game :) can't wait for AC Revelations!!!!!
There is a certain sadness there. Desmond marvels at the city its lost forever but its living in the modern world. You think about the people who lived there hundreds of years before you were born and the things they experienced but all you hear is echoes, echoes of the past.
This song envokes so many things. Desmond in Monteriggioni 500 years after Ezio. A town lost in the winds of history yet still living on today in the modern world. Its amazing.
I have a strange hunch about Assassin's Creed Revelations. We know so far that Desmond is in safe mode or the black room. When you complete the truth in brotherhood you see sixteen and his last words are "Look for me in the darkness." Perhaps sixteen saved his subconsciousness in the black room and Desmond will find him?
@TheLemonadeJellyfish I'm thinking that too and when you watched Desmond's trailer at the video's beginning there are some writes like the end of first game's finally we're gonna see Subject 16
@AmrasFalassion Of course. This song makes me feel depressed.. Maybe 'cause I saw Monteriggioni in the Renaissance so, when you walk on these streets you think about the old Monteriggioni and the modern place where are you walkin. I don't know, just feels sad, like a kind of longing or desire to travel in the past.
amazing... I love this game *__*
