  • Black and Red Jazz III's! My picks of choice.

  • @axslinger99 Best picks for me... \m/

  • It would be great if you could upload this again in higher quality - 480p makes a big jump in sound quality.

  • @3Deity Sorry man... all my new vids will be in HD.

  • BEST PEDAL EVER. i was jammin with a studio guitarist who came to my school he hit this thing and it instantly delivered EVH sounds i like LOVED it since

  • @thatcoolG Its quite killer... does a lot of different tones... quick & ez! Thanks 4 watching!

  • how would this work with an amp?

  • @enthnd03 Set the amp to clean... sounds great.

  • "Hey world, what's up?" Hahaha. Love it!

  • @yinyangthang Nice... \m/ Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks I have a chance to get one I will go and pull the trigger on it great review

  • @mjac28 Thanks for the compliment... enjoy your new GT2!!!!

  • How is this for bass?

  • @mjac28 It works well! I've tracked bass and run bass through it live direct into a PA... its cool!

  • Hi man! Excellent presentation!

Now, I've got a Fender Champ 600 + Vintage V100HB, what'd ya think would it "work ok together"?

And one more thing, what would You choose - The Sansamp Original or The GT2? Ty man!

  • @43bac I dig the GT2... Its been yrs since I've had the original I'm sure someone did a comparison on here!!! But it should sound great w/ the Fender.

  • @43bac And thanks for the compliment!

  • @vincew0w Ty man! You helped a lot!. Already ordered the GT2. ;) Rock on!

  • Cool... Dont have anithing like this less expensive?

  • @HenriqueHefler1 Sorry nothing I've found that sounds as good and is as quick to dial in a killer tone!

  • man I love your style !! I'd like to hear your albums, very creative and modern guitar playing

  • @JeezoozeChrysler Thanks!!! I'm working on an all instrumental CD I'll post when its released! \m/

  • @skywardism Hey thanks for the compliment! It feels very real since its producing the tone and NOT the DAW. But if you're used to an amp feel this is as close as you'll get without one. It also depends on how fast your computer is and if you're using a ton of plugins that may cause latency. But w/ reasonable plug ins its fine. I personally like it... but its best if you can get to a retailer and try it for yourself. Thanks for watching V

  • Hey, great demo! Does the GT2 get along with impulses?

  • @berserkerfunestus I would think so it is designed for direct recording... I use it a lot and it always sounds great & ez to dial in a tone. thanks for watching.

  • If I get one of these, will I be able to play like you? Excellent review.

  • @tomhirschler I'd love to say yes... but that depends on how much you practice! LOL! You'll sound kinda like me... hahaha... Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching!!!!

    \m/

  • BEst deMO! I'm buying this one next week dude! ^_^

  • @RichieGrapaChannel ThAnks for your compliment!!!! Glad you liked it & I'm sure you'll love the GT2!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!

  • I keep hearing a ton of noise coming out of it at certain (high gain?)points.

  • @gravityhunter All amps make noise especially when cranked... you can run a noise gate to quiet it down if you feel you need to.

  • Where can i download "Mojo Madness"? It sounds so cool.

  • @MichaelD8393 Thanks for your interest we are currently mixing so I hope soon!!!! Stuart Hamm is the bassist on that tune along w/ 3 other tunes he played on for me.

  • @vincew0w alright thank for the info.

  • Great overview, Vince!

  • @swartzfeger Thank you!!

  • I've been in the studio for a while, and I've been tampering with chords, and distortion, and the only way i can make it sound right is if I use my dad's enormous marshall cab and a line 6 head, would this be okay for chord arpegiation for when i do that stuff live?

  • @albundie3 Alone or w/ the Line 6? If w/ Line 6 use the L6 on a clean channel.

  • Hello i recently buy a tc electronics G system but i want to connect it direct to a mixer can i use this pedal? or wht u recommend me Thanks!!

  • @edysguitar Yes... plug the GT2 in the Insert and use it like a Preamp! Should sound great!

  • ilkeilke, akusukaakusuka

  • This pedal rocks!!!

I play mostly Hendrix on it as you can see on my channel, and combined with the G-major 2, I get all the original sounds, I'm hoping to upgrade to the PSA 1.1 soon...

  • you look like chris poland, 1 of my favourite guitarists

  • HAHAHA

    5:30

    'Excellent..'

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAW!!!!

    Totally Bill & Ted...

Haven't heard one of these pedal's in years... Forgot how awesome they were...

Just bought one! Can't wait for it to arrive!

  • @Makenstein Lmao! Nice you'll enjoy it for sure!

  • Outstanding demo - as others have said. You really covered a lot of ground in a way that was easy to follow. Thanks.

  • @HighSpeedSpoon Thanks appreciate your compliments!

  • Great demo man. Keep em coming.

  • @Melonos Thank you very much... greatly appreciated!

  • So can I just chuck one of those into a P A and Hey Presto - I'll have a half decent guitar tone like my mate does with his mesa boogie V Twin pedal?

  • @theceilibristol It sounds real good direct into a PA live. For fly gigs and travel I'm using a Line6 M9 w/ the GT2 last and set to clean. I use the M9's gain & distortions... quite the little rig!

  • Thanks for this video. It seems like this is a good pedal for getting a Satch type tone with the wah and delay set the way you had it.

  • @usta4070 This pedal rocks!

  • Now THAT is how you review equipment. thanks!!

  • @GuitarFuYou Thanks very appreciated!

  • THE CALIFORNIA WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • you scare me

  • @TheFunkyFuNkMonk Not sure if that's a good thing... lol! I'll take that as a compliment, thanks!

  • Does it have a tube inside it?

  • @EuropeFactor No tube.

  • HI!Wich version is in your video? the old one or the new one?

  • @JBest0 The new one.

  • is the tri ac very different tone wise than the gt2? awesome demo!!

  • @tomaizinhuh Not sure and thanks for the compliment!

  • @tomaizinhuh Not sure... Thanks for the compliment.

  • @vincew0w Hello, Nice demo. Wouldn't it be pretty hard to use a GT2 live? Like to go from a clean sound to a lead sound with different settings?

  • @Haladhara1 Its not programmable and was not intended to be a channel switching preamp. You should check out Tech 21's SansAmp Tri-A.C. Programmable pedal or the Double Drive 3X. Good luck! V

  • @vincew0w Thanks. Nitaai!

  • great demo of a very versatile analog amp modeler...

  • @xntrickk Thanks!

  • What amp did you use? And what is the volume of your amp? What guitar did you use?

  • @whoosoo I just put everything used in the drop down above.

  • @wormie18 Just delay, rev, clean had a touch of chorus all Logic plug-ins.

  • Hi -- I talked to "L" (I promised him I wouldn't put his name on Internet! haha) from Tech 21, and he's been helping me with my GT2 questions and told me several ways to use it with Tascam unit. (Since I'm disabled, I don't have the energy to keep trying different set-ups: he told me what will and what won't work.) Now I have to find "my" sound within the scheme of things. Before I became disabled this demo would have taken me a week to finish. I'm going on 3 years now, but I WILL finish! :)

  • @jaibhakti Hi Jaibhakti. I just learned about this little amp simulator 2 days ago & I was searching the web & you tube on how to use it. I have a Tascam DP02 myself & I was looking for a way to record my guitar into the DP02 without the use of my tube amp. It's seems a bit strange, but my goal is to record in 'silence'... not disturbing my neigbours. :) Will the Sansamp GT2 do the job & can I use it together with my other stomp boxes? Thanks in advance. :)

  • @Littleloner Man 1st SORRY I didn't answer sooner... didn't see this! If you didn't get one already yes GT2 into your DP02. No one will hear you and yes it will be usable w/ your other stomp boxes... remember certain things sound better in front and others after so you'll need to experiment!

  • @vincew0w Hi Vince! thanks for your reply. I didn't buy one of these... yet. I Bought a Line 6 POD HD instead, which isn't bad. But it's not the piece of gear I'dd hoped it would be. Perhaps I'll sell it and get me the SansAmp. This way I can integrate it in my pedalboard. Choices Choices! hehe Thx again! ;)

  • @Littleloner Did you get the POD HD Pro Rack??? Lol @ choices!!!!

  • @vincew0w Hi Vince. No, not the POD HD Pro Rack... I'm not a Pro. ;) I bought the 'Bean' desktop type. Overall, a good piece of equipment. Some beautiful modeled amps & effects. Perhaps it's the menu diving that bothers me a bit... Or perhaps I'm a bit to harsh for my POD HD. ;) Happy Holidays!

  • subbed :)

  • george l's cable, are they any good?

  • @alapunk13 They're not good... THEY'RE GREAT! I have the same 15 or 20 George L's Cables in my G-System rig since 2004! Never had a problem with any of them!

  • @vincew0w ohhh nice, I'm thinking of buying the 10ft. gold plugged cable for gigging, do you think it's road worthy? I mean it's not soldered in so doesn't that make it very vulnerable?

  • Hi V--I'm writing this from my phone...can't tell if my comments are posting or not. Where would be the best place to put the preamp if I'm using it with my Tascam DP-02 8-track digital recorder? I was going to use this before DI and rund BBE Sonic Maximizer in effects loop. ???

  • @jaibhakti Great but I don't think you're gonna need the BBE.

  • I've been researching the Sansamp products all day. I'm glad I found your video because my main question was "Exactly what tones is this preamp capable of producing" (a lot of this depends on the way a person plays) but you've answered my question perfectly: The Sansamp GT2--along with some great delay and reverb--has endless capabilities. I finally ordered the GT2 based on YOUR video! I am going to use while recording with my Tascam DP-02. I'll use it after my pedal chain--directly into unit.

  • @jaibhakti Thanks for the compliment... glad to help. as for using it after pedal chain, might not be the best. Just use the GT into your DAW and use the plugins there after. I seemed to get best results this way.

  • Great playing & a great demo!

Would the GT2 work into the Aux In of a full-range acoustic amp for live gigs in small venues, do you think?

    Thanks.

  • @Invicta60 Also thanks for the compliments! Much appreciated!

  • Great playing & a great demo! Would a GT2 work into the Aux In of a full-range acoustic amp for live work in small venues, do you think?

    Thanks.

  • @Invicta60 Hey there, its not really an acoustic preamp... you can give it a try but I suspect best results will not be w/ the Aux in but direct into the input.

  • Very helpful, thanks.

  • can you get a a simmiler mesa boogie tone?

  • @bagera93 Yes if you use the California setting and tweak the mic placement etc... you should get REAL close!!!!

  • brother that's some aewsome settings you did! right down my alley! i'm eager to get it now! thanks for the vid and the settings you showed! rock on :)

  • I love this pedal. It is the best pedal I have ever owned. Even if I found out that this pedal was homosexual - I would still love it.

  • what do you hook this up to??

can you hook it up to studio monitors like a multifx pedal like boss gt series?

in your opinion, how does it compare to a digital multifx pedal?

    thanks

  • @bluze86 Yes but you'd want to run it 1st... guitar-gt-boss. Its not a multi-fx pedal. Its a Preamp, clean, rhythm & lead tones only... no fx.

  • Sounds great, so (duno if it's like your using it) what do you think if I'd buy this then run it through my amplitude stealth plug and from there to computer and to logic pro 9, will the sound be as great as you have in about 3:50?

  • @Migez93 I think it should sound close... I used a MOTU 896 into Logic and all plugins from Logic for the fx.

  • my only problem with the clean is that it sounds too fake and tinny to me i like a mesa boogie grungey chunky sound which i geuss this could get if you pile on some wicked setting some distortions and play some chords but i wouldnt use it for clean i dont think

  • oh boy i want one of them tech 21 tins so bad i can smell catpiss

  • Perhaps the best demo of the pedal to date!

  • Comment removed

  • thnx buddy!! i ll get it and try.when i get the sansamp gt2 i ll share my video.

  • hey dude great video! . this pedal can used with boss gt8?

  • @xoverbang I would think so! Not sure how the GT8 is laid out but if it has a pedal loop that works after wah & before the gain stage then yes... the Digitech RP 1000 has a dedicated insert for gain pedals as does the G-System by tc Electronic. Go to a local dealer & try it with your GT8.

  • hallo and greetings from greece awasome review!

    i got a question for you ,

will this pedal be my live playing solution ?? i cant stand carying three times a week my amp to the gig micing soundchecking etc. and i wanna find a way to go str8 to the pa (or mixer)

will it do the job as last pedal of my pedal chain ?

  • @sk0maddoc Thank you! You need to experiment... it sounds GREAT direct. I've run wah 1st then GT2, then delay then rev and it sounds real good! I like to have my own monitor/amp on stage so I use the Trademark 30 w/ the GT2 in front and the delay in the fx loop... and I use the XLR out to the PA. My next demo (LONG OVERDUE) is using that set up! Always try to demo things yourself and hear it live in the room! Nothing compares to your own ears!! Good Luck!

  • Stryper

  • Hey Everyone! Thanks for the compliments and for tuning in to my channel! More vids on the way! ~ V ~

  • @vincew0w

This pedal very good.i play with it since 1997!!! very good sound .

I don;t think i'll change it to other pedal.

One thing that i disapoint of is when i play live in the band i have alot of feedback even if i don't stand close to amp..

and in the same situation i don't hear the notes clear. becouse of that i have to change the middle knob to "clean".....

  • @LeonGrinberg What kind of amp are you using? This could be an issue. Also there's a lot of factors that could contribute to feedback like your pickups, guitar cables, etc...

  • yeah, ok you're right but all my cables

are good enough and i have crate tube amp.

another thing is when i play with it in home in a low volume it's ok.

    Thank you.

  • @vincew0w what type of amp did u use? I have a JCM 800 and I want an overdrive that would be the actual OD sound on the low input, and drive the amp harder in the high input, giving it more gain at lower volumes, cus the old style MV Marshalls need to be driven louddd to get the saturated tone we all know and want. Would this do the job?

  • @theShowStopper321 In this demo I went direct into the computer and used the studio monitors. You can use this ped through a clean channel of a tube amp and it should be crushing! So you'd have clean & crushing!

  • What is the signal chain here ? Can't believe it sounds this great plugged directly into a mixing desk. The only way I get such good sound is when plugged into clean SS amp like Roland Jazz Chorus or Gallien Krueger 250RL and then miked.

  • @makmanlh Signal chain = Parker Fly Mojo-SansAmp-Motu 896-Logic w/ a few plugins as explained in the vid... Reverb, Chorus & Delay. NO eq or additional mic-pre's. It sounds THAT good!

  • sold! I'm getting one!

  • Wickedly good demo of this pedal. I had been thinking of the British Character pedal for a Bluesbreaker/Plexi sound. But, this makes me rethink. It is far more flexible...I can hear Satriani styled sounds together with Santana tones...plus the Marshall sounds. Nice.

  • what differens in pedals with 5 numbers and 6 numbers ?

  • The best review i've seen on ANY hardware ANYWHERE! If i were in the music industry, you'd have a good job mate! \m/_

  • Finally, a demo that really shows off all the options of this pedal! Good job!

  • Great demo sir! You showed us the best capabilities this pedal has....

  • Dude, you should be given money by tech21 for making this review. It's outstanding. Thanks a lot!

  • my all time fav stompbox. brilliant review mate!
