  • ITS IN JAPAN HA HA

  • I bet you were watching match of the day??!!wicked vid!!first time ive seen your vids and they are great!thanks!

  • thanks! Lots more on life in Japan on my main channel - Myargonauts and my site JapanJuku(dot)com

  • Hey, Jason. Just thought I'd mention something here for you and for anyone else who's reading... To prevent the trash from stinking between trash pick-ups you can freeze, for example, the chicken scraps in their container in the freezer until trash day. If you have a disposer, you can cook the scraps to make them more disposer-"palatable."

  • that was an awesome accent

  • That looks FREAKING good, I'm going to have to make that sometime.

  • it is good! :) I actually miss making this now that I'm back in the States

  • Nice one! Mode cooking video ahah! :D

  • nice vid. i like to make quick wraps so instead of cooking the chicken i just microwave 'TYSONS' chicken nuggets-- it tastes good!

you mentioned how your trash smells.

i recommend that you put the excess meat/food that you are about to throw away in a zip-lock bag, seal it, & throw it. you'll be able to stay with your trash bag a bit longer, also sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom of your trash can!

  • Nice accent although if a Scotsman said "soccer" any Scottish person with 100ft would disown him and probably book him on the first plane to America haha! :-P

Jason, you are our Japanese idol! We will always continue to watch you - regardless of where you are!

  • my folks are from England, but really it's just me watching Trainspotting too many times and too much Billy Connelly

  • can you explain the AC/heating situation there? I have a friend that lived there and brought a little space heater from america and uses that in his apartment. any feedback would be sweet.

  • basically you have a choice - more expensive air con units (if your apartment has one) or kerosene heaters.

Kerosene is cheap - about 1000yen worth will last about a week - so maybe 4000yen per month in winter, whereas I spend about 10,000yen per month in winter using my air con heater. I also spend about that much in summer (July-Sept) running my AC. No aircon means hot and sweaty summer - with fans only to cool you.

  • haha your scottish accent is glorious!

  • thanks lad. :)

  • Looks great! I gotta do that sometime.

  • your accent is incredible xD

  • LOL!

    Very funny Jason!

all the best for 2009 :)

  • Damn good!

  • I thought I already commented on here, but I guess not. That food looked good. I think I'll try that sometime soon. I'm not much on lettuce, so I will probably use less lettuce than you, but all the same. Has anyone figured out what video you were watching at the very end?

    -Billy-

  • I was watching an episode of "The West Wing" on DVD on my laptop. :)

  • YAY!Jason's Scottish accent..you should make a 2 part video with this accent. But you should have saved that last part(when you eat) for your next 2 part video,Eating with jason...with a scottish accent...ha ha ha.Seriously it would be nice if you could make a video at many kind of japanese restaurant, like where you go often for ramen, okonomiyaki etc...should be great!looking forward to your nxt vid.(i'm really curious about Okonomiyaki restaurant and Genuine Ramen Stand)

  • oh and by the way, does it feel sad to rip a 5$ cheese?

  • very nice

i've been watching a lot of your vlogs and im still curious as to know..

what's the reason behind not eating fish?

  • no huge reason - I just don't like the taste or smell

  • Great video:) Now I'm getting hungry to

Can you show us how to make some local food too? like: takayki and ramen?:P

you should buy a camera stand. It would improve the quality greatly:)

  • as I mention in part one, I don't cook Japanese food at home very often, so sorry. But there are other J-vloggers who've vlogged about cooking Japanese food.

  • ... and I thought a "wrap" was a "wrap" because you wrap the pancake completely around the filling (like Turkish Yufka) instead of using it as an edible plate.

  • exactly - I just overstuff my wraps, so I usually can't close it across the top. :)

Mexican food where you use the tortilla as an edible plate is called a tostada.

  • 1 to 10? You mean your stove doesn't go to 11? I am slightly disappointed. Anyways... great video, looked really tasty.

  • the real question is how much more black could my pan be, and the answer is "none, none more black." :)

  • Cooking with Jason next on PBS! Great vid jason! Can't wait for your announcement on your future in japan!

  • lol! this vid was unexpectedly incredibly entertaining! :D well done.

  • your scottish accent reminded me of the vlogger called iamthemorningstar lol she's in Japan with interac at the moment... and I think she's near you too

  • Happy new year Jason! Good video too.

  • Sean Connery!

  • Yes! Keep doing the accents!
