the key is not to fight with the computer at all..get the puck and shoot it off the immediate wall from center ice...I regular beat the puter 50-0 57-2

You call that Hockey? Only 2 players per team? Worse the Atari Baseball.

Intellivision had a real looking Hockey Rink and had 4 Players (1 of them was the goalie) you could trip the other teams players and it had penalties and it came out Before the Actvision Ice Hockey. Even the Sound Effects or the Puck being knocled around were pretty realistic for non digitised sound effects and when you scored you would hear the crowd cheer , no lame off key beep.

Retro sports games are often more enjoyable for me than the new ones with all their HD graphics and official licenses. The simplicity makes it twice as entertaining, since nothing distracts from the fun.

Such a beautiful and appropriate intro. I have to say Mark i was getting worried there for a bit. Those pansy bastards in the yellow and green were skating all over you but in true Pittsburgh fashion you game back in the last half to beat them like a rented mule. I have never played this game. Neve rplayed an atari for that matter. Great use for the atari though. The Atari doubles as a coaster too lol.

Great review. The Flyers are my team, but I liked hearing about your Penguins mug. I definitely saw some "RUTHLESS TRIPPING" in that game against the computer. (See the commerical for Ice Hockey with Phil Hartman).

Good comeback on the computer too. You almost sealed that one away with a late goal (would have made it a two goal win) but you shot it just outside the post.

Great review and fun intro! Nice shot there of the Penguins mug. I would love to have one like that of the Flyers.

There is this game Mutant league football for the sega genesis and you play football with MUTANTS! And you can KILL THE REFF!

It was rated one of the best games on the Gesesis.

This was a great game, played it on the Activision Anthologies for PS2.

I really enjoy the faster speed mode, the standard speed is too slow for me.

Please review Activision Anthologies, I think it would be a perfect review, plus it be one of the better ways for people to get introduced to atari classics.
