For most cigarettes with filters, including lights, depending on how you smoke it, the range is always 1.4-2.3mg, full strength filters are up to 2.9mg of nicotine. Seriously, you don't get 1mg or 0.9mg for a full strength, trust me. My dad did an independent study (you won't find it online) for fun by himself... This was on the sheet he gave me
I don't know how other countries do their toxic analysis, but there was one done in the 60s and it wasn't reliable, it was in south america I believe. They analyzed 0.9 - 1.0 for full strengths, and it was just put on every pack because camels and marlboros have an international blend (For every country) so they just basically copied and pasted that. In Canada, it was done recently by a government lab, and most unfiltered cigarettes contain 8mg of nicotine, 2-3mg is actually inhaled.

Most testing (and my dads) was done basically in a vacuum applied with a suction equivalent to baseline "inhales" done by normal smokers, with baseline intervals between puffs, and the range of puffs (6 or 10) for most smokers. The vacuum is attached to the cigarette filter, and pulled into a small amount of water, equivalent in volume to the volume of the alveoli in the lungs and surface area of the lungs (Adjusted for differences in water to lungs), and the water is analyzed for nicotine.

For most cigarettes with filters, including lights, depending on how you smoke it, the range is always 1.4-2.3mg, full strength filters are up to 2.9mg of nicotine. Seriously, you don't get 1mg or 0.9mg for a full strength, trust me. My dad did an independent study (you won't find it online) for fun by himself... This was on the sheet he gave me

I don't know how other countries do their toxic analysis, but there was one done in the 60s and it wasn't reliable, it was in south america I believe. They analyzed 0.9 - 1.0 for full strengths, and it was just put on every pack because camels and marlboros have an international blend (For every country) so they just basically copied and pasted that. In Canada, it was done recently by a government lab, and most unfiltered cigarettes contain 8mg of nicotine, 2-3mg is actually inhaled.
