I think so yes, since the Longshot is longer than the Hookshot.

or you can just, you know, Hookshot across lol. i've done it many times.

@j2k794 You can alternatively just walk across the entire area with the Hover Boots, which prevent you from sinking. Although, you'll have the Longshot by the time you get the Hover Boots.
