I don't know if you care but what your buddy said about the pedal being pushed all the way to the floor.. That only works on newer fuel injected cars. That old truck is old enough to have a carburetor and so fuel actually keeps flowing while the gas pedal is pushed all the way to the floor. Like I said though I don't even know if you care.
