  • ke recuerdos me trae este tema , lo escuchaba de niño , saludos desde lima , peru

  • When I was 16,I was sooo in love with David and saw him in in concert... and wondered if I'd ever see him again...And now...all these years later...David lives 10 minutes from me...ah...it's true, love never dies...it moves to your neighborhood! Thanx so much for posting this!! :)

  • Crooklyn <3

  • Sighs....I was going to grow up and marry David....it just...didn't work out....lol!

  • This brings back so many memories. I can almost smell the era and my ideal giggles doll that i clutched to my heart as I was listening to this song. Thank you for sharing this with us. Much appreciated :)

  • Cool song. Liked how the kids were singing along to it in Crooklyn.

  • this song go HARD!

  • It's enough to make me seriously consider buying complete Partridge Family television show on DVD.

    This is fun stuff.

  • He woke up after a wet dream about Danny Bonaduce.

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds That's got to be the funnest thing thing I've read in such a long long time...LMFAO :-D

  • i woke up with this song in mind... love is magical

  • It wasn't the music that matter, per se. It was the context of our existence at the time in which it was produced that matters most. Good, or bad music, when coupled with powerful moments in our past we will think fondly of these songs.

  • Hola!!! :)

I remeber the music of them in 70's,

many talent, very original group <3

my best regards from México City.

  • Shirley Jones is Ms. AUSTIN POWERS!

  • Most of these songs are freakin terrible. There is nothing to compare them to then or even now. They are hokey and very goofy at best. I listen to them out of curiousity and cannot bbelieve these were ever released. If this song was released by The Who it would have gotten blasted by critics -- this is hilarious shit.

  • @tedcantu1 It was the 70's and this was pop music back then. Get over it.

  • @Gfunk0717 Ive been over it, You get over it

  • @tedcantu1 Please tell me you're kidding! Comparing a 1970 family sitcom to The Who? Hokey and goofy? Duh, it was pop music, nothing more and every generation still has it, "Walking on Sunshine", "Don't Worry, Be Happy", " Achy Breaky Heart", no one claimed these were rock anthems, they were bubble gum pop rock and feel good music 41 years ago. You're comparing U2 to Brittany Spears Mr Happy (that's what friends call you, right sunshine?)

  • @tedcantu1 At the time David Cassidy was the biggest rock star in the world.

  • @zy7xw5 Easy baby....

  • @zy7xw5 easy baby....

  • @tedcantu1 Well the fact is that they WERE released and some of them were failry big hits! The reason I am here now is b/c I just heard this on the radio this morning and decided to put it on my "oldies" playlist. So it was apparently good enough to be remembered and get air play 30 some years after the show.

  • David Cassidy was just dreamy...actually, he's still a good looking guy. LOVED this show! And like others have noted, they did put out good music.

  • @Gfunk0717 hes lik 60..........

  • @MsLoVeYoSHi So. That doesn't make him ugly.

  • i remember hearing dis on a movie called crooklyn

  • Great memories of watching The Partridge Family show on tv....loved David Cassidy and had posters of him all over my walls. Even found a CD of their greatest hits :-)

  • people have ridiculed this music for years, because the actors are not actually performing. But SOMEBODY made this music, and it's pretty darned good.

  • @ScottJ794 David Cassidy the singer and actor is singing for REAL on the records.

Cassidy was the real deal backed up by excellent song writers and back up musicians and singers.

  • @fox8950 Yes, I am well aware that DC sang lead vocals on most of the PF songs (there were a few early on in which he lip synced). I was referring to the other "players" Bonaduce, Forster, Dey and Crough. I would love it if there was video of the actual musicians performing these songs together, but I'm guessing that never happened.

  • debbietristan100 No! I was supposed to marry David Cassidy! Oh, what could have been...

Loved the show and still love the music! Thanks for the video.

Offended83Shadow - You have good taste and you did get ripped off. Partridge Family was way funnier and they played good music! Plus David Cassidy was so freakin cute! I remember acting out Partridge Family songs with my sister and friends while listening to their albums (that is how we listened to music before CD'S and IPods)

  • I was supposed to marry David Cassidy. What happened?!

  • CROOKLYN

  • I love this

  • kj kj kj kj kj kj kj kj <3

  • great memories..loved Keith Partridge....lol yummy~

  • I woke up in love with SUSAN DEY this morning...........wouldnt you........

  • Danny is still the craziest Rangha on the planet!

  • Omg this is..soooooooo gooooooooood!!!!

  • I see them almost all the time on antennae tv. the lady that played shelly died right?

  • David Cassidy wanted to be like another Jimi Hendrix, well the World needs David Cassidys as much as they need Jimi Hendrix, I grew up with this show and loved them. love looking back on youtube, thanks for posting

  • i grew up on this...thank you for posting this and for the memories. Me and My cousins in Brooklyn used to go back and forth between The Partridge Family and The Brady Bunch. Lol!!! Memories, im team Partridge, All Day!!!!!!

  • CROOKLYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I woke up in love with Susan Dey the first time i saw her

  • Great video.

  • Crooklyn! I woke up and peed this morning!

  • OMGosh...I've been watching retro videos all morning with my 20 year old starting with The Archies, to the Monkeys to The Partridge Family. WOW I love that walk down memory lane!! I love that she appreciates ALL music. Way cool. Thanks for posting this one. :o]

  • If you're a fan of The Partridge Family, you'll probably like the fun and free weekly podcast, Echo Valley, which celebrates the great bubblegum music from the 1960's and 1970's! There's Partridge Family music almost every week! Give it a try! Just Google "Echo Valley Bubblegum"!

  • went to sleep with you.......oh yeah David

  • CROOKLYN!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this song one of my favorites

  • Laurie looks just exactly like a Crissy Doll

  • Shirley Jones is the only woman with five kids I'd want to nail.

  • I woke up in love this morning (Irvin Levine-L. Russell Brown) line up: David Cassidy on lead vocal, Dennis Budimir on Guitars and Louis Shelton on bass, mike Melvoin and Larry Knechtel on piano , Hal Blaine on drums., background voices were provided by John Bahler, Tom Bahler, Jackie Ward and Ron Hicklin. for -----more information go to see The Partridge Family wikipedia.

  • That must have slowed down the carpet bombing.

  • Nate woke up in pee this morning went to sleep with pee on his mind- Crooklyn Scene

  • get the ginger out of here. they were all fucked up on something!

  • what up with the umpa lumpa?

  • YEAH, Period

  • I woke up with a boner this morning.

  • @Eddie2446 Come over to my house then Eddie, LOL!!! luvyameanit hon

    peace~Lily

  • lol danny was the most entertaing part of the show,,,,,,i remember fighting with my older brothers over which show we were going to watch - partridge family or brady bunch lol my dad wouldnt let us watch both haha- we had the same fight about the munsters and adams family...memories, gotta lovem

  • Thanks so much for the great video. David Cassidy was another one of my teenage crushes.

  • I love the way that Danny cracks up Susan Dey starting around 0:43.

  • Really a down memory lane experience thanks for dowmloading this to utube

  • How can someone dislike this? Even the black kids from Crooklyn were lovin' it!

  • Read the book "Once Upon a Star - Celebrity kiss and tell stories" where David's ex tells what it was like to date him at Amazon dot com

  • TRUTH is that there was a time that most anyone who was a teenager when the Partridge Family was on Television was a fan of the show. David Cassidy was a real talent of his time. I have listened and seen live some of the best bands of this generation from The Who, Queen, the Stones, Wings et. al etc but bottom line is the Partridge Family was brilliant and David Cassidy had a hypnotic voice.

  • i first heard some of this song when i was watching "crooklyn"

  • lol i love shirley's ruffles

  • OK...call this what you will....canned commercial tripe...whatever...., it still beats the hell out of just about anything you hear coming out today.....

  • Comment removed

  • Wow I saw this video in the movie Crooklyn.

  • @fghn907 that part in Crooklyn cracks me. Reminds me of my childhood in the early 70s when a lot of Black kids wouldn't admit to liking the Partridge Family or the Osmonds for that matter. Thing is nearly EVERYONE liked those groups back in the day regardless of ethnicity. Love how Spike Lee put it out there lol

  • i guess im going to a party in three hours to see dave cassidys son...and i heard hes not hot like his dad. bummer.

  • I loved this group, not sure why my postings don't appear...but, tooo chez'! Love David Cassidy!!

  • That little girl playing tamborine is actually rated number fifteen on the Rolling Stone's top 100 tamborine players list.

  • If only more shows like this were in reruns today.

  • I was born in 83. Grew up watching brady bunch reruns not partridge family... i think i got ripped offf

  • Suzanne Crough really kicks ass on the tambourine!

  • Danny Bonaduce was one of the most underrated bass players of all time. He was able to set the rhythmic pulse for the group while never moving his left hand from the 3rd fret.

  • @bailinnumberguy Damn skippy! Plus, that look that he shared with Susan Dey, he was tearing that shit up.

  • @bailinnumberguy - highLARious comment re: Danny's fretting, Dude!

  • @bailinnumberguy - highLARious comment re: Danny's fretting, Dude!

  • @bailinnumberguy Jesus, get a clue. He did not play an instrument. It was all dubbed.

  • @fran9860 No way, really? I always wondered why those little kids sang w/ adult voices. Thanks for clarifying it for me.

  • @bailinnumberguy Musician to musician, why is that so unique?

  • @bailinnumberguy I saw him interviewed, David Cassidy told him (during their first run through for the show) it's a bass, you don't strum a bass you pluck it

  • @bailinnumberguy You know that Danny playing the bass was fictional. He cannot play the bass

  • @R0MOTZ That's the joke, he never moved his left hand D:

  • @bailinnumberguy Good one!Laughed my ass off

  • @bailinnumberguy He made Chuck Norris jealous.

  • @bailinnumberguy Hey, at least he learned to stop strumming it. Check the really early episodes, legend has it that it was David finally set him straight.

  • @bailinnumberguy

Not to be outdone by Susan Dey who was able to play the keyboard by banging the same 10 keys.

  • @sailorcosmos82 We all know it was mimed/acted. Take it for what it is/was. Light entertainment. As Reactiv pointed out. It still beats the rubbish going around today, by 'the country mile'.

  • @bailinnumberguy

Thats gotta be the funniest comment I've ever read!!! LOL Awesome!!!

  • I love the scene in the Spike Lee film "Crooklyn" when this song is playing and the kids first deny to each other they like the Partridge Family show and when DC starts singing the chorus they were all jumping up and down on the bed and singing along! Reminds me of my childhood back when Black folks wouldn't admit to liking so-called "white" music.

  • @choosing2lookeast I love you ...LOL

  • @slaxwell55 hahaha

  • @choosing2lookeast hahah crooklyn i was jus wathcing that

  • this makes more sense than Friday

  • Reminds Me Of Watching Crooklyn

  • @icymama234 why is that...i mean i saw the movie, but i just wanted to know.

  • @savethewordpeace Because In The Part Of The Movie Crooklyn They Were Singing The Song, And Watching This Song Being Performed Reminds Me Of The Scene In Crooklyn.

  • @icymama234 oh yeah. i remember that scene. you right, you right

  • I loooove this song :)@~!!!!

  • ah..memories

  • k i think i am legit the only teenager who love the partridge fam

but i cant help it their like totally epic

  • @WROCKFREAK1 You an Me Both!!

  • @WROCKFREAK1 they are still awesome!!

  • there awesome

  • Not enough close ups of Susan Dey.......Susan was so HOT

  • My grandma got us the whole first season and I just fell in love with it and especially the songs! I listen to these songs everyday. I wish today's music was more like it was without all the editing to peoples voices.

Great video though I love it!!(:

  • @LoveIsMyThingx10 Grandma? Wow, way to make me feel old. I watched them first run on TV. I still love the music. My sis really had a thing for David's brother Sean back then. It was a more innocent time, that's for sure. I'm glad that the newer generation can still appreciate 'older' things. LoL

  • My girlfriend sent me this song one day and hearing it always makes me smile. It's so sweet.-3

  • Man... you gotta love this....music SUX NOWADAYS!!!!

  • Shirley Jones was born March 31st; 1934 which makes her 77, but I agree she is still a beautiful.

  • Shirley Jones is still beautiful and just turned 71.

  • Susan Dey HATES both Danny and david..LOL--They did a reunion on NBC today and she didnt show up and Danny said 'Susan do you really HATE US SO MUCH" and apparantely she DOES ... SHRLEY couldnt be ther-was on tour with an orchestra..and "reuben kincaid" (Dave madden) is extremely ill..berd ridden. Very close to the end for him :*( sad.). I loved Reuben

  • david cassidy couldve been like a serious rock star. not that i dont LOVE the partridge family just the way they are. im in love with keith.obviously.

the wear the exact same costume in every song. odd.

  • david cassidy couldve been like a serious rock star. not that i dont LOVE the partridge family just the way they are. im in love with keith.obviously.

  • harpsichord kicks ass !

  • I am jealous of my mom who grew up during this time. I have such a crush on Keith.

  • Is it just me, or what, but Laurie was hot--braces and all. Perfect square girl for all the right fantasies! Loved the show, and Dave could sing. Also had a massive crush on Shirley--hot mom alert!

  • @bartonim Yes, I love Laurie, too, and I don't even like girls. But she WAS very attractive.

  • 甘く切ない歌声、素敵です・・・

  • @tableflowers そうですね!^_^

  • @tableflowers jajaj chinitos jajaja

  • One of my favorites! I also loved "Brown Eyes Your Beautiful", is that the correct name? Even though my eyes aren't brown, I could still dream! Spent the summer between 8th and 9th grade listening to these!

  • I love the partridge family I just bought the first season (used) mind you fave episode is 8 of season 1 The memory will linger with the skunk on the bus.

  • Heard this from Weezer, tried to look it up on youtube and got this.. Had no clue they covered it (They being Weezer) ^_^

  • VERY VERY VERY SAD,,,,,,,U Hve to recognize a pedi.....anything ......sad sad...so sad......I grew up with partidge family big song producer...back in the 70's.......so sickly sad..pervs have to ruin it for the rest....my fav.....either freaking way......rah rah rah.....Vivi loves ur song....

  • this is my favorite song back in the 70s when david cassidy hit the tv airwaves as keith i was totally crazy for david as soon as you see his face that hair and the magic sound of his voice drove me nuts and still does after 40 years and now my 13 year old daughter likes him too

  • Luv the sho!!!

  • ooch they began clapping before they were done...

  • @missjobingo They are lipsyncing and thats the way they end it so you dont notice.

  • LOVE DAVID. LOVED KEITH!

  • David Cassidy is SOO HOT!!!

  • I was a huge fan of PF as a child (and still think Keith is sexy ROFL). Did you ever wonder why Laurie only plays the same chord over and over with her right hand and her left one just sits there? hahahaha.

  • Love this!

  • Only in love with himself. Unlike Greg and Marcia that were fucking every spare moment. I heard one time Barry had Maureen in a stage closet with his tongue as far ..................

  • Those were the days! We had great music to listen and dance to.

  • love this too... great song

  • i cant get this song out of my head!!

  • thoses wer th day's

  • Gotta admit, David sings a lot better than I do.

  • I had this on 8-track and albu. I was gonna marry David Cassidy back then. :)

  • yes im very sorry I liked this song

  • danny turned out to be a asshole

  • @DumbSnowGuy

I agree, you do have the right. Like most other people here, I just wonder why you are commenting here when you know you don't like this. Do you spend all your time visiting things you know you hate so you can slam them? Think a bit about what that says about you. Why not find some stuff you appreciate and show your appreciation instead of belittling what others like?

  • @DumbSnowGuy

What are you doing here if you don't like this? Just go away. Nobody wants to hear what you have to say.

  • If you can get past the 1970's getups, it's really not a bad song

  • Why must perverts make unwarranted comments about Susan Dey's #$@#? It's wrong. Plus, do we need to say stuff like "jack Cassidy was a drunk?" If so, why not say "Shirley Jones was an overbearing Amway sales rep?" True or not, I can see her being an aggressive solicitor of low quality goods. Please send all of your negative comments to Rubin Kincaid.

  • I love the song but is he even playing the guitar?

  • look at pint-sized danny....heard now on radio in Philly.....

  • Danny Boadouchebag! What a fucking arse!

  • Jack Cassidy was a drunk!

  • Its really something how Danny turned out to be sexier then David

  • u know....i think the mom's costume must have influenced the Austin Power's costume....lol. very similar....

  • I loved David Cassidy--none of my cool friends ever knew that. This was one of my favorites. I finally got to see him sing it live a few years ago at our annual fair. I had a blast.

  • wow, great memories from the best years of life, wish I could go back, love you David Cassidy xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  • His hair ... his eyes... his smile ... mmmmm i loves me some DavidCassidy !!!

  • I loved the 60's and early 70's, they were the best times I ever lived.! From Billie Joe, to Johnny Rivers, James Bond, Elvis Presley, Rock & Roll, the Partridge Family, the Beach Boys, the Carpenters, Everybody in Motown, Bossa Nova, the TV shows, Saturday Morning Cartoons, everything was new, and exciting, an uncomplicated.!!

If I could turn back time, this is where / when, I would go back to, enjoy every minute of it, with the ones I loved. !!
