Even i believe we should not offer salah or do any islamic activities in others religious places like church or temple.... simple reason being if you read or come across a thing like muslims allowing christians to use mosque for their sunday prayers? how it sounds, do u think this should be allowed? when we can't give our mosque for others religious activiies then we shouldn't use others places for our religious activities too.

There are 73 sects of Islam in the world today and many more sects of Protestants who think like them. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventist's and endless other's. All of these are clearly sects and have no similarity to Orthodox Christianity which has never divided Christ's Teachings or Holy Tradition. To pray in a church or in a temple etc. ‘Umar said, ‘We do not enter your churches because of the statues and pictures.’ Ibn ‘Abbas used to pray in the church provided there were no statues in it." Bukhari vol.1 chapter 54 p.254. if a church has statue and pictures in it then it is haram to pray there.& this is what i said before.

There are 73 sects of Islam in the world today and many more sects of Protestants who think like them. Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventist's and endless other's. All of these are clearly sects and have no similarity to Orthodox Christianity which has never divided Christ's Teachings or Holy Tradition. Christianity is not ONLY about the Holy Scriptures. It encompasses Holy Tradition as well. The Scriptures ( the Inspired Word of God Himself) clearly state that there is NO Salvation outside of the Church and that Christ Alone is the Way, the Truth and the Light in Whom and Through Whom we are Saved. Unless we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour, we place ourselves at the Mercy of God the Father for our Salvation. God gave us free will to either accept Him or Reject Him. The choice is our's alone

@Slendertouch Muslims don't like hearing the term "Mohammedanism", but that is a clear way to represent it. All of the Quran came from the mouth of Mohammed. Everything the Quran says is a "Mohammedanism". He made it all up. No miracle there. There are NO OTHER WITNESSES. Islam relies on the words of ONE MAN. Scripture tells us to let the word be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses. Islam only has ONE witness, Moh, a man who LIED to wives, enemies and friends.

@80yasm Pardonnez-moi, mais je ne suis pas vraiment intéressé à voir le monde en termes d'une dichotomie croyant-incroyant. Je pense que c'est une fausse dichotomie. Dans un sens, tous les humains sont croyants. C'est juste que nous croyons en des choses différentes. Je pense que nous devons prêter attention aux choses que l'on croit. Être un «croyant» est presque dénué de sens. Je ne vois pas dans l'identification avec les croyants dans le "dieu" connu sous le nom «Allah».

But to treat all religions as if they're cut from the same cloth is not wise. Jesus was NOTHING like Mohammed. He was a pacifist. There is no record of his ever having hurt a soul. He forbade his followers carrying weapons and even taught that they should love people, whether they were enemies or not. Do you think that idea should be dismissed?

Aren't these examples of learned behavior? The "nurture-nature" controversy won't be resolved by ignoring nurture. Humans learn all kinds of behavior, including how to speak politely and what is culturally appropriate. Thinking can indeed be taught as well, especially higher level thinking.

You will be influenced even if you do something as small as go without food for a day. Influences are physical, social, psychological and spiritual. The real question is whether you are able to discern the difference between what is a good influence and what is not. A wise person yields himself to good influences.
