  • he looks angry XD

  • Oh my God, I can't can't get over how SHORT Roland's hair is!! Haha, I'm so used to seeing him with his wild and crazy long hair!

  • Roland looks so funny when he's dancing :D

  • love the flute solo at 1.19, also the kybds at 2.26.

the song at 1.33 he sings in his future TFF voice

  • Brilliant! aww reminds me of my childhood! My uncle is John Baker and at the time of graduate i was 4 or 5. I can vaguely remember band practise in my nans front room, John and Roland singing and playing their guitars. I remember the excitement when they appeared on Tv , " Runaround" with Mike Reid. The Gigs.

    I love the music!

    :-)

  • I can't believe this, sooo wonderful someone had footage of this soooo rare indeed!

I love this album and yep I have it on vinyl :)

TFF is one of my top 5 favorite bands .

Thank you sooo much for sharing this it made my morning:)

  • i wish there was mp3 downloads online for them, i would definitely pay 10 to 15 bucks to get the album on to my pod.

  • It would have been nice to see and hear into what this band would have developed. A lot of groups did the new wave thing then, sure. But with Roland's songwriting abilities, I think they would have had a good shot of staying alive both musically and commercially.

  • what a contrast!! between this and the stuff 10 yrs later on STSOL with nicky holland and oleta adams! wow this is a real collector's item thanks for posting.

  • Graduate RULES! "Christ look upon us in this city..."

  • cacaroq, you outdid yourself this time. this is wonderful! Never thought I'd see teenage Roland doing his thing, though I've had the album for more than 20 years. Great!

  • check my page for lots of graduate videos! :)

  • Rock that earring Roland! This should all be released on a T4F anthology DVD, especially "Ever Met A Day" and "Shut Up"! Too bad there's no TV appearance for "Premature Baby"

  • how did you get this?

  • Found in internet, but i'm looking for an entire version.. Unhappily, i didn't find yet.

  • do have any guitar tabs because i wanna learn how to play it

  • Roland, shake it up! ;)

  • ...

    WOW

    ...

    oh my f-ng God!!

(why doesn't anyone do there hair like that anymore?)

  • Graduate should reform one day!

  • awesome! wonder where those originals are... hope to see them one day.

    Thanks Camila!

  • My Dad is the drummer :D

  • are you serious?

  • Yeah, he's not got much to do with TFF any more, but that is indeed him when he was about 22 :)

  • was he in TFF to and not just graduate? wow it is so amazing for me to meet You :)

  • I think he did some early recordings for TFF but was never officially in the band... We still have that stripy drum kit that's in the video though :)

  • awe i see :) that is way cool. have you ever met curt smith and roland orzabal?

  • I can't remember, we were at Roland's house once for some sort of party with a load of my parents' friends, but I was about 7 at the time so I don't really recall, I'm only 19 so most of Graduate completely passed me by :P

  • lol oh wow :) yeah :D

  • What an amazing dad you have!

  • So Your Saying Manny Elias Is Your DAD? :O

  • That's not Manny Elias :P Andy Marsden was Graduate's drummer, he's my Dad

  • Oh. Well, Since You Were Talking About T4F I Got Confused :P.

  • He's a cool drummer! Good on ya.

  • i think i have Graduate on tape lying around somewhere..il have a look for it..

  • If you could that would be brilliant I'm curious to see!

  • I really love their hyperactivity. Makes me wonder why they weren't so hyper in TFF.

  • roland acts funny lol! he was hot though sexiest boy on the hole earth!! and curt and manny elias

  • loving rolands dance from 14:00 to 24:00! looks hilarious!

  • I bet if Curt saw this now he'd be just a tad embarrassed. :)

  • Gosh, Roland is reminding me of Paul Weller from The Jam here, pretty cool. But I still love Tears for Fears the way they are.

  • Desde siempre hacian buena musica!

viva graduate and tears for fears.^^

  • The band was pretty tight, Curt was playing some funky basslines. Awesome. Was the album ever re-released on CD? I'd love to get one.

  • tears for fears should of played ska

  • I want this album now! Love seeing Curt and Roland so energetic! Now my band can see where I get my bass dance from because curt is doing the samething lol. Who've known...

  • what's the song starting at 1:06

  • Ever met a day.

  • Ah thnx, just got the "Acting My Age" album and its awesome. =D

  • Wow that's the coolest haircut Roland's had. Love the whole mod look and ska style,

  • Wow....!! I think that says it all.

  • Very rare Roland doing his Jam impressions....I think they had a hit in Spain some energy haha

  • Wow! This is absolutely amazing and this is hands down the rarest footage of Roland and Curt, I have ever seen on You Tube. Where on earth did you find this?

I have got the Graduate album- 'Acting My Age' and it is a masterpiece. Graduate was more than just a ska band. They were a kind of new wave band. But here, I can see they had a certain punk-like energy on stage.

Thank-you very much for posting these live shots. Do you have the entire live videos?

  • No, unhappily i still don't have entire videos. Still, 'cause i won't stop to try serach something.. Sooner or later, any Graduate's video will appear on internet. if I find somenthing, i'll post here. At least, this little video killed our curiosity :-)

  • very interesting and funny to watch them on stage with these songs.... hope we'll find more.... thanks!

  • Oh how I could forget, I love Curt´s green socks. IoI

  • And sure I love also his haircut (mainly) IoI

  • Thanks for sharing.

    It´s a great vid.

I love Roland´s dance, roguish face and his earring IoI.

What a shame, we can´t see much Curt there :(

  • This is amazing! I never thought I would actually see Graduate performing! Wow, unbelievable! So rare! Thanks so much for posting!!!

  • Never thought I'd see something like this. What an interesting find. Many thanks for posting.

  • Milestone!

The Seeds of a Music Legend!

  • Today was the first time I'd thought to have a look on youtube for Graduate. Funny that you just put these on yesterday!

Shame it's only little clips but still nice to see anyway: thanks for posting!

  • these clips are fabulous! i really like Rolands short hair.from Graduate i probably like Premature Baby best.if you haven't heard it all you can find it on imeem.(just audio)

  • That's one of the very few Graduate tracks that I don't like. But most of the other tracks are interesting. My favourites are "Sam" and "Elvis Should Play Ska".

  • i probably like that best because it was the first i heard from them and it was just a little piece(The Madness of TFF)and we looked for the whole song and found it and i guess thats why i'm partial to it.
