Brilliant! aww reminds me of my childhood! My uncle is John Baker and at the time of graduate i was 4 or 5. I can vaguely remember band practise in my nans front room, John and Roland singing and playing their guitars. I remember the excitement when they appeared on Tv , " Runaround" with Mike Reid. The Gigs.
It would have been nice to see and hear into what this band would have developed. A lot of groups did the new wave thing then, sure. But with Roland's songwriting abilities, I think they would have had a good shot of staying alive both musically and commercially.
what a contrast!! between this and the stuff 10 yrs later on STSOL with nicky holland and oleta adams! wow this is a real collector's item thanks for posting.
cacaroq, you outdid yourself this time. this is wonderful! Never thought I'd see teenage Roland doing his thing, though I've had the album for more than 20 years. Great!
Rock that earring Roland! This should all be released on a T4F anthology DVD, especially "Ever Met A Day" and "Shut Up"! Too bad there's no TV appearance for "Premature Baby"
I can't remember, we were at Roland's house once for some sort of party with a load of my parents' friends, but I was about 7 at the time so I don't really recall, I'm only 19 so most of Graduate completely passed me by :P
I want this album now! Love seeing Curt and Roland so energetic! Now my band can see where I get my bass dance from because curt is doing the samething lol. Who've known...
Wow! This is absolutely amazing and this is hands down the rarest footage of Roland and Curt, I have ever seen on You Tube. Where on earth did you find this?
I have got the Graduate album- 'Acting My Age' and it is a masterpiece. Graduate was more than just a ska band. They were a kind of new wave band. But here, I can see they had a certain punk-like energy on stage.
Thank-you very much for posting these live shots. Do you have the entire live videos?
No, unhappily i still don't have entire videos. Still, 'cause i won't stop to try serach something.. Sooner or later, any Graduate's video will appear on internet. if I find somenthing, i'll post here. At least, this little video killed our curiosity :-)
these clips are fabulous! i really like Rolands short hair.from Graduate i probably like Premature Baby best.if you haven't heard it all you can find it on imeem.(just audio)
That's one of the very few Graduate tracks that I don't like. But most of the other tracks are interesting. My favourites are "Sam" and "Elvis Should Play Ska".
i probably like that best because it was the first i heard from them and it was just a little piece(The Madness of TFF)and we looked for the whole song and found it and i guess thats why i'm partial to it.
he looks angry XD

Gosh, Roland is reminding me of Paul Weller from The Jam here, pretty cool. But I still love Tears for Fears the way they are.
