  • what's the song from 1:30 - 2:25 called ? i can't find it

  • Please help! Does anyone know the name of the song (or whether it was just a bit created specifically for the show) from the recap in the beginning of season 3 episode 1? It sounds dramatic and cool and I'd love the full version

  • @CannabisCommandant The name of the song is called "Mad Men Suite" and yes it was created especifically for the show. I know you're disappointed like me that you can't just get the first 1:30 seconds of it, it's the best part after all. And by the way if you were trying to buy it on itunes or Amazon, you have to buy the entire album. Sucks, but hope I helped.

  • One Person obviously needs to die.

  • Powerful stuff. Great show.

  • aff so po causa q tenho uma band med man O.o

  • This stirs something deep inside your memory, doesn't it?

  • Does any one now the name of the part from 0:00 until 1:30 ?

  • @PoweredbyKamyar

    David Carbonara - Carousel

  • What you call love was invented by guys like me to sell nylons.

  • can anybody tell me if the part from 1:30 onward has another name, or where i can find an extended version of that theme? it plays when Don and Roger are climbing the stairs in episode 7 of season 1, and also at various times throughout the show...

  • can anybody tell me if the part from 1:30 onward has another name? it plays in the scene where Don and Roger are climbing the stairs, and several times over the course of the show. I am desperately trying to find the extended version!!!

  • Nostalgia - it's delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn't a spaceship, it's a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards...it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It's not called the wheel, it's called the carousel. It let's us travel the way a child travels - around and around, and back home again, to a place where we know are loved

  • Peggy Olsen is the female Don Draper.

  • any one know of any other music like this i can buy?

  • Beautiful. Anyone knows whats the name of the music that plays in the carrousel episode??

  • I'm a teenager and no one else I know watches Mad Men :(

  • I am 24 and love this show.

  • Its such a serine yet awaking song .Love it

  • This is the song i hear every time i wake up at 5:30 in the morning to go to school. If my alarm had any other song, i would wake up angry.

  • It's not called the wheel....

  • love it. especially the part from 2:28 to 3:30, it start out as a little bit creepy or mysterious (i don't know the exact word) then it become sad. it describe don draper perfectly

  • Been watching since it got on Netflix. Loving every episode so far. Will def. buy all this on blu ray when it goes on a good price.

  • Excellent.

  • Just fabulous...

  • Does this remind anyone else of the American Beauty soundtrack at all? Particularly "Any Other Name." Also a stunning soundtrack.

  • @wellwornhand I thought the same thing first time I heard it.

  • What a fantastically evocative sountrack... along with the stunningly written series, it really makes you believe that TV can be more than just an idiot's lantern...

I'm a child of the sixties and it causes a twinge in my heart more powerful than memory alone... I wish I could revisit those times...even with all the bad things that the show highlight

  • This is what i've been looking for!!

The perfect accompaniment to such a show. Often featuring during Draper's darkest hours, the early part reminds us that this is merely a man existing in a time long past, and that we will only ever be able to glimpse through a window what it was like to live (and breathe) in that time...

  • stupid itunes won't let me buy this song on it's own....

  • smoking lucky strikes alone at midnight in a downtown suite overlooking the city with a short glass drink in hand...and thoughts of a mad man

  • "I have life and it only goes in one direction, forward"......."You have to let her know who you are so she can know who to be"- thanks madmen!

  • lol, 0 people are not awesome, thats how pro this song is xD luls, but for real, this is a beautiful song. If only there was sheet music to play in say an orchestra band

  • make me think of michael andrews/Donnie Darko, so awesome!

  • amazing show,amazing track!

  • Kodak presents The Carousel.

  • very good song, makes me always thinking like in the episode, the times I wish to go back to.

  • nostalgic

  • 0 dislikes? Maybe there's hope after all.

  • @Paperbagman555 Don't jinx it man!!

  • this show is additive

  • this is great! i would like to watch mad man for a looong time like 14-15 seasons! :D

  • This music makes me sad.Dont know why :(

  • I wish more teenagers would watch this show so I can talk about it more!!

  • @foodleman06 Ya i know! who would have thought that drama in an office could be interesting:D

  • @foodleman06 I´m spanish, and 13 and I watch it ! It´s a Fantastic show and the Soundtrack is fabulous :)

  • @foodleman06 That's impossible because all they're watching is the MTV or CW crap. Or YouTube shit (not to bash YouTube, but it's crappy user contents.) This show, in my eyes, can reveal so many things that are and have been wrong in our society. We are still perpetuating the same lies, only now we only think we're more hip to it. We're not.

  • @foodleman06 i am a teenager and this is my favorite show of all time

  • @foodleman06 There is always forums.

  • @foodleman06 same everyone like the opposite to me

  • @foodleman06 this show is the best

  • @foodleman06 i am watching it 2 :D

  • @ochiorbus It's a such great idea. I'm so missing all episodes so I should watch it again :)

  • @foodleman06 you should be proud that you understand it´s qualities!

  • @foodleman06 I'm a teenager and I watch mad man ;)

  • @0Hikaru Same here!

  • @foodleman06 i'm 18

  • @foodleman06 well at least its not like my case. No teenager in my country watches this show.

  • @foodleman06 Teenagers are watching The Nine Lives Of Chloe King, Teen Wolf and True Blood (so they just can say they watch a HBO show). I'm a proud 17 year old, I love all AMC shows and even if I hate history I'm so in love with Mad Men and its colors.

  • @foodleman06 I'm 17 and I'm madly in love with Don Draper.

  • @foodleman06 13 right here :3

  • @foodleman06 agreed!!!!!!!!!!

  • @foodleman06, I couldn't agree more.

  • The music on "Mad Men" so perfectly fits its various moods. And often the closing songs (I think of "Lollipops and Roses") are songs I remember from my childhood. I was about Sally Draper's age in those years, and formed many of my ideas of men and women together from the silly romantic music on the radio!

  • I can't believe this show..just seems to have everything perfect ..sometimes U see the reality shows and U say to yourself, "TV has gone down the tubes" and then a show like this comes on..and redeems everything and that truly, their is still "Art" on TV or for that matter in America..GREAT, GREAT SHOW!

  • Does the part from 0:00 - 1:30 have a separate name? Would be great to find an extended version of it. The piano notes remind me a bit of "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison.

  • @rykowolf

yes that part is really amazing. I only listen till that.

  • goddamn, shit just got all emotional

  • 0:01 - 1:30 reminds me somehow of Hom&m ... beautiful

  • They play this alot during emotional scenes on mad men, and I swear it never gets old. Amazing.

  • 3:34 - 5:17 best part

  • @Ssumm The sound of one hand clapping!

I definetly agree with you :P

  • I love 1:25 - 2:27 It's like the Roger Sterling theme. It's so great! haha

  • @Buckeye881 its my favorite theme of the whole series, i've been trying to find it for so long... love it!

  • 0:01 - 1:30 is just amazing...

  • it's a shame this song is only 3 and half minutes long...

  • @DynamicImpulse you sure? i think every video should be followed by at least one and a half minutes of pure silence. helps you reflect on just how good, or bad, the song really is.(not really, i phuckn hate that shiii!)

  • serial jest fantastyczny, w 3 dni obejrzałam 3 sezony a muzyka jest doskonała

series is fantastic, and in three days I watched three seasons and the music is excellent :)

  • Awesome, and just pure genious.

  • This is Beautiful. It has an eerie sadness to it. I Like it. David Carbonara is a Genius

  • great soundtrack, mad men= A true masterpiece

  • Nice Music ^^
