@webkins102938 by the way, after you have it done, I recommend you do not talk as much as possible, because the vibrations from talking tend to make it hurt after the numbing goes away. I'm not saying don't talk at all, just try not to if you don't have to :)
@webkins102938 I'm 14 as well, and recently had a root canal done. And it didn't hurt one bit, and they make sure it doesn't because they numb you up a little, then use a very very thin needle to put some really numbing stuff in ya. I practically fell asleep during it all. Only bad part is how long you lay there, which for me was roughly 2 hours :D
They should play these kind of things on T.V. so that people will brush their fucking teeth. IN BRIGHTEST DAY, IN DARKEST NIGHT, NO GUNK SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT inwhichcaseitwouldthencavitizemytoothleadingtoshittyandexpensivetrip(s)tothefuckingdentist.
I was 13 when i got my root canal and abscess removed... I didn't know what one was and it wast as bad as it sounded if you ask me, but we all take pain differently though
i could not save my molar, i have no insurance and the cost of fixing it was almost a thousand dollars, i had no choice but to have it pulled out, the pain was killing me.
i had a root canal i they gave meds while they did it and when they hit the pulp
i hurt and i fell fucking painful as hell i wanted to scream but i keept quite and dealt with it not crying/telling the doctors. i dealt with it like a adult and not like a
year old would .i deal with pain on a very high scale it's takes alot of things to hurt
Idk if i should get a root canal or a tooth extraction. Im not scared of the pain or anything but im just scared of d infection or the abscess. So anyways what happens to the abscess
that small cavity caused that guy a root canal, thats nothin, mah my back molar is missing! (its only a outer bit of it left and the tissue has grown on top of the remaining bit of the molar root canal for me!! lovely!)
I had to get this done when I was pretty young, like 14-15 and to this day I have an ugly gold crown and i will have it for the rest of my life. I have to get it redone every 5-10 years sometimes more often in my case. At the time although I brushed my teeth, I did not do so as well as I could have and my god do I ever regret it. Please brush your teeth guys, and not just that but try to get routine checkups and FLOSS your teeth as often as you can so you don't regret it like me.
I got a sudden toothache that hurt like hell and called a dentist for an emergency visit. He was like wtf? Your gums look fine. No sign of infection nor abcess. Xrays didnt show jack shit. Went to another dentist and thought it was maybe mild case of gingivitis so he gave me a medicated rinse. Pain went away for about 2 weeks, then it came back so I went back to see my dentist. He tested the nerves on teeth near the area that hurt. Turned out a molar is dead lol. Fuck
Im living in the uk at the moment and that smileygirl is right in the uk most peoples teeth are fucked its not a old myth. must been something in the water.....
I had my root canal on monday and i can say i felt one point during the whole procedure elwhere it was a slight pain. The doctor gave me one more shot and thats it. Its thursday and just got baxk from crown lengthening. The root canal had no pain after and i didnt take any medications. Now the crown lengthening hurts like a bitch haha
Root Canal is painful but can be fixed without going to the dentist
An all white rice diet and home made calcium (calcium made from eggshells)
for 3 weeks can get rid of your root canal.
a diet with nothing but phosphorus and calcium is the answer to your problem.
Eat nothing but rice & calcium until cured and after it goes away avoid fruits, smoking and candy for a while as the bacteria isnt dead but in a small harmless quantity that can regrow if abused.
oh fuck, Ive needed this for ages my jaw even hurts bad and my tooth is killing me all the time. After watch this I realise I need it done regardless of how expense it is.
R.C. 580 Crown 700 =1200 there no guaranteed it will pass most of it fail depend on how skill dentist is if root canal fail u are entitile for a refund
@MrDodgerron hopefully no it shouldnt hurt. if the pulp is necrotic (dead) then its not always nessisary to even give anesthesia as there isnt pain (unless the periapical leasion is large then preassure can cause pain in this area not the tooth), if the pulp is still alive but beyond saving the anesthetic will be given and hopefully treatment will be painless but if there is a large infection in the working area this can effect the anesthetics power and can lead to some pain (sometimes alot)
I had a root canal done today and its the worst pain i have ever experience in my 16 yrs of life. Yesterday i had a huge filing, it hurts?? it should feel better? I think i need a root cunel , cuz i shouldnt be feeling this pain, i cant sleep.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the dentist a little bit ago and got 2 root canals done. And let me tell you; IT HURT LIKE A BITCH. Oh my god!! But my dentist also said my tooth is fractured which may be adding to the pain. All root canals I've experienced were painful. Am i the only one who thinks they are painful? I am suppose to get my tooth (the ones that got root canal'd on) removed surgically. Does that make any sense LOL? xD
I think it depends on whether your tooth is infected or not. Usually if you have a tooth infection and if they work on that tooth, the tooth will be extra sensitive to the drilling and whatnot. Root Canals hurt on some people and some other people says it doesn't. I think it depends on how sensitive your teeth are. If you have a small mouth (like me) the chances are your jaw will be a little sore afterward. Just relax and i hope the root canal goes smoothly for you! ( :

root canal is a wise treatment to be done. if done properly an at the rite place it serves longer periods.......... its wise to get ur teeth saved for few years than gettin it removed an suffering...

I read the work of Weston Price too. I've also read many other places regarding the risks and dangers of root canal therapy. I don't know about others but I've lost 6 molars , all were root canaled and crowned and all within 6 months became re infected with the last one landing me in bed with a 104 fever. As soon as the teeth were extracted I felt 100% better. Folks save your money , next time the dentist comes to you with this crap just say , pull the fucken thing out.
Yep. They make more money that way. There is no business in healthy people, nor in death. It's somewhere in between. Like charging for a procedure (root canal) that will inherently create more business opportunities for the medical business.
My problems basically started with too many cavities as a child , when a tooth has been drilled out and filled repeatedly it weakens the structure over years. I remember the dentist telling me all sorts of horror stories about having teeth extracted when your young to middle aged and how it effects your bite , and effects the way you chew and the way you talk and cuases painful cramps in your TMJ muscles , and I fed into it and had root canals done. The infections came back with a vengance.
Well contrary to Dr. Money bags horror tales , it's been 6 years and 6 missing molars later and I don't even notice them gone. Your gums toughen up and I can even chew hard pretzels. Now if it was a front tooth I'd panic because it would screw up my dazzling smile :)
My plan didn't cover things like reconstruction , ceramiques and implants because they said those are elective procedures. My plan only covers fillings root canals , extractions , partials and dentures.
Well anyhow I watched a video on the procedure and even if it was covered I don't think I'd be really thrilled at the idea of someone drilling a big hole in my jaw bone LOL like I said before at first it's kind of a shock when the ladocaine wore off and I can feel 6 molars gone, but after while you don't even notice them gone. and the source of the problems is gone and can never come back and that's good reassurance.
@Taz0161 but no molars = alot more pressure and wear on your front teeth = smile in danger in the near future, also no teeth can cause bone loss in the jaws especially in the mandible which can lead to other problems. its not all about the money.
