  • LOL not worrying about calories because you eat low carb. stupidest thing ive ever heard. calories in vs calories out you imbecile. you will never lose weight eating above maintenance even if you eat low carb.

  • @MaxMitchell3000 I lost 97 pounds in 9 months doing low carb, and I've done this exact recipe. You are the imbecile cause you believe the "calorie in, calorie out" BS. The body is much more complex than just cals in and out. Read a book or two before you run your ignorant mouth.

  • @MarineShape175 well believe it or not, despite not tracking calories you were still following the principle of calories in vs calories out. Fat and protein provide the most satiety so people tend not to over eat when their diets are composed mainly of these 2 macronutrients. Had you eaten the same number of calories but instead allowed room for carbs your results would be 100% the same. This is fact, not opinion. keep being ignorant if you wish...

  • @MaxMitchell3000 Yeah, wrong again. I've done low calorie (1800-2000 cals a day) many times for months at a time and weight loss has been minimal. However, on low carb, I eat 2500-3000 calories a day and I lose 15-20lbs a month. Sorry but different types of calories (i.e. carbs, fats, and proteins) effect people in different types of ways. The "calorie in/calorie out" rule is over simplified garbage. There are so many more complexities in the human body for that to be the absolute.

  • @MarineShape175...u were either counting wrong when consuming "1800" or your body was in starvation mode because that is far too few calories for an adult male...when eating 2500 you were in a safer deficit... i cut on 3000 cals with ice cream almost nightly. idc what you believe. a calorie is a calorie. Sure there is the slight effect of TEF from protein, but that won't make or break a diet.

  • @MaxMitchell3000 a calorie is a calorie, right, and the world is flat,. No point in arguing with you, I see your mind is made up.

  • Ever hear of to much of a good thing? This French toast will have all the calories allowed for a day if anyone is trying to lose any weight. The nutrients also don't allow for the butter.

  • @windward46 We don't worry about calories on a low-carb diet.

  • @OGFISHERMAN777 Also are u aware of the study about saturated fat published on January 2010 by the for American Journal For Clinical Nutrition? Saturated Fats r the best types of fats as they do not go rancid as unsaturated fats do!! They R Vital To Our Health!! Sure thats not what Politically Correct Nutrition Tells Us But That a Fact That Has Got ZERO Conflict of Interess Behind It!!

  • @OGFISHERMAN777 can u mention a study that explains that saturated fats r bad for us?a prove NOT an assotiation!! in the mean time read Norishing Traditions by Sally Fallon and Put Your Heart in Your Mouth by Dr.Natasha Campbell McBride and The Obesity Epidemic by Zoe Harcombe..

  • I just bought some of this bread and I cant wait to start using it

  • First I'd like to say great video guys thanks for posting. I have been buying julian bakery for over half a year now and I love their #1 and #2 loafs and now I cant wait to make julian bakery french toast tom morning. For everyone out there who has not read about low carb lifestyles please consider opening up and just reading about it before posting bad comments yes they are using butter to cook because in essence it is a high fat low carb way of eating as opposed by a low fat high carb.

  • Thanks for the great recipe! I can't wait to try it. I am on Phase 2 on the hcg protocol, but can definitely have this on Phase 3. Keep up the good work and thanks for the recipes!! Ill be watching...don't listen to the HATERS! :) This is true food, not a bunch of chemically treated junk.

  • Mmmmmmmm , its cool, but I´d rather make my own Low Carb bread at home.

  • looks like it has lota fat sitting in all the butter i woulda used Pam instead...

  • Absolutely it's a lot of fat because it is healthy for you. Pam is a synthetic fat in a spray can that is 100% useless for your health. Butter is rich in nutrients your body needs to be healthy and vibrant for many years to come. THANKS for writing!

  • @livinlowcarbman

wrong, buter is high in saturated fats as well and your bread is soaking up ounces of it which is way to much for a persons daily value of saturated fat.

ppoly saturated fats and monosaturated fats are good fats not saturated fats from buter.

  • @OGFISHERMAN777 What's unhealthy about saturated fat?

  • @livinlowcarbman

higher risk of cardiovascular disease, especially with the amount of butter you use.

found to highten the risk of prostate cancer and small intestine cancer.

and if you didnt know 95% of digestion happens in the small intestine

  • @livinlowcarbman nothing :)

  • scary dude !!!

  • Nah, nothing scary here buddy! :)

  • Thank you!!! I tried the Julian bread after seeing your video. My mother loves it. I do too but I'm so shocked that my mom loves it. THANK YOU!!!!

  • AWESOME! We'll be doing another video soon about a brand new bread product from Julian Bakery you may be interested in. :)

  • ENJOY!!!

  • HaHa I just bought some Julian bread today at whole foods, before I saw this video! I havent tried it yet but you just gave me some great recipes!!! thanks a bunch

  • Was just introduced to your site today--love it! Ordering the bread today. Thanks for the vids and I;ll look forward to seeing more soon!

  • THANKS welchsf22! I appreciate you watching.

  • that looks great might have to find this bread!

  • I've been on induction for over a month so.. just got mine today so excited. Thanks Jimmy for recommending it you guys rock!!

  • ENJOY!!!

  • Oh my I'm so excited I just ordered my bread today.. can't wait!! Will be doing this things for sure. Question are this ok to eat during induction? Ohh and I'm dying to see how to make LC patty melt!! I'm hyperventilating

  • You probably shouldn't during the first two weeks of Induction, but anytime thereafter as long as it doesn't negatively impact your weight or blood sugar.

  • 38 pounds and counting!! Please make new videos, love you guys =) Rebecca

  • Way to go, Rebecca!

  • Sorry about that! I've been finishing up my second book and it JUST got finished and sent to the publisher this week. We'll have more coming soon. :D

  • Hello Jimmy and wife Christine!. Real interesting channel you have here now that I've had a chance to peruse past vids. Thanks for all the education.

I noticed you made reference to Truvia in this vid. Is it out on the market? Hadn't heard too much of a buzz about it. And could you kindly direct me to your first vid featuring Julian Bakery bread? Thanx so much.

  • THANKS for watching, omightyisis! We like to have fun with our videos while educating about healthy low-carb living. Yes, Truvia is available and we'll be doing a video about it real soon. As for our first Julian Bakery video, it was Episode 64: _7uriaDsOCY

  • Your enthusiasm is fantastic and I applaud you for that but super high fat diets are so unhealthy its not a joke. Continue eating like this and you may end up skinny... but you'll have a heart attack or a stroke sooner rather than later.

Nothing beats a low fat diet and hard work in the gym. You won't end up soft and you will live much longer.

Try Steve Turano and his Body Performance videos, he gives intelligent diet and exercise tips that will make your body strong.

  • THANK YOU for your comments and concern. But what is your evidence that high-fat diets are "unhealthy." The latest research shows that a diet high in fat, even saturated fat, and reduced in carbohydrate are among the best not just for weight loss as is often mistaken, but also as a means for preventing heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer. I recently wrote a book called 21 LIFE LESSONS FROM LIVIN' LA VIDA LOW-CARB that outlines this research for people to see and decide for themselves.

  • @livinlowcarbman

low carb diets are not good for you

  • @OGFISHERMAN777 And your proof of this is...what?

  • @OGFISHERMAN777 yeas they are.Where can you get this bread?Kroger,Heb,Walmart, WHERE?

  • Nice but not much point doing low carb bread with all that sugar afterall carbs are sugars.

  • Go back a few episodes and you'll see that both Christine and I got new glasses. :)

  • Jimmy, What's up man? Hey, I like the piano music playing in the background while your cooking up your food. It kinda of took me back to a childhood memory that included "Mr. Rogers Neihborhood"! Great Idea with the French bread recipe. I need to try that soon.

  • Oh, that's funny! Mr. Rogers....EEEEK!

  • This bread is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I just got it today and it is the best bread I've ever tasted!!! Great grainy taste and perfect texture. LOVE IT!!! Just made the grilled cheese and can't believe it was only 2 carbs! Amazing! I've been doing low carb now for 3 months and lost 40lbs so far. Only one problem with the bread...it's in La Jolla, California....so far....:( Why can't they start a chain in Chicago??? ...Can't wait for the french toast on Saturday!

  • THANKS for your feedback! ENJOY! :)

  • Jimmy come on man don't make us beg for new videos of you guys!! Teach us something!

    Please =) Rebecca

  • Sorry, Rebecca, been busy finishing up my second book and traveling this summer. More videos coming soon! :)

  • Oh I meant to add I am on day number 14 of induction (last day) and I lost...... drum roll please............ 16 pounds!!! I love this lifestyle! • CONGRATS Rebecca! KEEP IT UP!!!

  • Can you guys post more videos I enjoy watching them and I learn so much. =) thanks

  • First Month Gone = 15 Pounds Gone!Hello Jimmy, I hope all is well. First month back on Atkins and I have lost 15 pounds Wow!!! feels great thank you for all your help. I was able to lose the weight with no real excercise, only normal daily activities, maybe a couple of walks. I am feeling very excited, motivated and inspired to make this happen. I hope to incorporate some moderate excercise this month but nothing to crazy... Just got the Bread, great taste... Thanks again... SLIMQUEST :)

  • OUTSTANDING!!! Keep it going, buddy!

  • i'm your admirer--i love the new look, with the glasses and beard. Sorry Christine...but your hubby is looking super model handsome :)

  • LOL! Christine got a big kick out of this one. THANKS for the laugh. She says you don't have to apologize. YEPPERS!

  • I love love love this bread! I live in San Diego where Julian Bakery is located. There is also a deli across the street from the bakery that uses their bread to make low carb sandwiches. LUVZ IT!

  • Oh, that's cool about the deli! Neat idea.

  • YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

    YUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

    Hugs

    Susie

  • Yeppers Susie!

  • hey Jimmy, Can you eat this on the extended induction phase of atkins? or is ok with the OWL phase? Thanks SlimQuest :)

  • Eat a slice and see how it does for you. If you're good, then you know you can have it. :)

  • I had one sandwich with this bread almost every day in June and it did stall me some. I went out of ketosis and only lost 4 pounds in June. Right now I have cut back to only one sandwich per week with this bread. I'm back in ketosis and am losing 2-2.5 a week again.

When I hit my goal weight I'll be back to eating it every day because it is really really good.

  • Thank you. Looking forward to the bread pudding recipe. :-)

  • Twill be good! :D

  • no vanilla?

  • You could use some vanilla if you'd like! :)

  • I'll let you know about the duck fat, Jimmy. :)

  • COOL!

  • you mean i could actually have stuffing again...woohoo!!!!!! homemade stuffing would be devine!

  • Stuffing is a GREAT idea!

  • Hey Jimmy, any stall concerns? Not appropriate for induction correct? OWL probably fine right?

  • THANKS Darren! If you stall eating this bread, then you'll need to limit it or remove it. It will depend on the individual. This is not for Induction, but the later phases will be fine.

  • I'm going to buy some duck fat at the farmers' market next weekend! I've e-mailed them to find out if they ship to Canada - but I doubt it.

  • Haven't personally tried duck fat, but I'd like to sometime. Let me know what you think, Brian.

  • you shouldn't fry with butter - frying releases a carcinogenic toxic called acrolein. You should use full saturated fats with no protein like lard, duck fat, coconut or palm oil, etc ;)

  • I use those saturated fats, too, but butter is fantastic for these dishes. THANKS for your comments!

  • They have been in business for years and have perfected the art of making low-carb bread. Hope you can try it!

  • Looks great, but 8 bucks per loaf? Wow! Thats crazy expensive...The makers need to sell the recipe to the Wonder bread company so they can make this stuff on the cheap.

  • Worth EVERY penny! It is THE best low-carb bread on the market today.

  • @cosmicvortex no worries this bread is the best i dont mind its price

  • looks like Butter with french toast :)

  • Yeppers!

  • Looks yum! Wow, lots of butter.

  • No other way to eat healthy.
