The geode is called The Empress of Uruguay.. I was in Uruguay when they were cutting it out of the mine. If anyone is interested you can take a tour of the Amethyst mines in Artigas Uruguay for a very small fee. Back in march I went to Uruguay and I was told that they have found another geode larger than this one !!!

NICE, I saw a geode half in at MT Ida Arkansas that weighs 4400 pounds. Its at Wegners Crystal MInes,. They have a single crystal that weighs 2 tons....
