  • That looks like half a liter of coolant or so, when most people have a big bucket.

    Do you know what temp the coolant gets to? I like the idea of having all of the cooling mounted on the gantry, and would like to do this for myself if its working out for you.

  • @wrenchmeister. I normally run the spindle between 10000 and 18000 rpm, at these speeds the motor stays cool. Even at 24000 rpm atfer constant running the temp only goes up a little, I don't measure the temp only feel it by hand ocasionally and I have never had a problem. Don't forget though I do have the motor mounted in a large aluminium block which is a heat sink as well. The biggest issue was eliminating air pockets from the system.
