  • Awesome game.

  • I just picked up this game. i went early chirstmas shopping. and i got 2 PS2 games fatal flame,Crash Bandicoot:Mind Over Mutant. and 3 PSP games. Final fantasy:Dissidia,Patapon,And castlevania dracula X chronicles. THIS CHIRSTMAS I GONNA ROCK!

  • yea,i also like the graphics in the first games, the ds games and castlvania symphony of the night. This games graphic looks kind of messy...

  • the graphics ARE good your just arrogant and the game plyas good to

  • I dont care much that the graphics arent really that good, the gameplay is classic enough to enjoy :)

  • the graphics look really nice if you ask me. I love Kojima's art style in this game. Looks dark and eerie, which suits Castlevania.

  • the graphics look bad

  • They really arent when you see em in person, now that the game is out. And the music is amazing as well.

  • Funny how he assumes how everyone in america who likes Castlevania has never played Rondo...when a good chunk of people actually purchased it or even downloaded the Rom for it... but it is still cool for america to officially have rondo in remake and original format...not to mention SOTN..which is Godly...and comes with a pre-order bonus....and is cheap too...wow just a few more days...

  • this trailer is way too long but it's well done

  • The new graphics are great for Rondo of Blood but I think the rational man was asking for the game itself and not a remake of it.

Now while I'm grateful they remade Rondo of Blood, I'am even more glad they finally localized the original version of it.

  • i dont think theres anything wrong with the grahpics and you say they had to do them in 3d cuz its psp theres a few games on psp that are 2d so they could just as easily gone 2d with them

  • Of course they COULD have (thats why they have the original rondo of blood, and symphony of the night on the UMD as well) however, he wanted to get more new people in the franchise. And face it, the majority of PSP owners wont buy or play anything unless the graphics are composed mostly of polygons.

  • yeah i know that but i see your point like you said most psp owners want 3d anyway im so psyched about sotn being on it been wanting to play that 4 a bit now

  • Heh well you're getting the best version then (hopefully anyway). Its supposed to also have some additional stuff that wasnt in the PSone or Saturn version.

  • and its gonna have all new voice acting in it which is kool

  • I'm assuming Nocturne in the Moonlight for the PSP inside the Dracula X Chronicles UMD, will be a collaboration of PSX's superior visuals with Saturn's extra content, plus an entirely new voice cast and screenwrite. But hey, I liked the original Japanese/English voice overs from 10 years ago.

  • That's a disgusting truth.

    Graphic mongers are pathetic.

  • Rondo of Blood is almost the same as Dracula X. The walking and jump speed is about the same, the Axe is thrown lower and closer than in Dracula X. but overall its the same, but they had one weapon in it they didnt have in Dracula X, that was the Bible. and I know all of the key points of the game cause ive played it. I look forward to the PSP release as well =D

  • Yeah but the music in the PC engine/Turbo DUO version was alot better (of course) and they left out the cutscenes, plus some other stuff im sure.

  • Cool man. Thanks for posting. Castlevania is just about my favorite series.

The music alone is just amazing.

  • i have a few questions. will this game implament special abillties much like cotm, hod, aos , ? and is this the top speed of the charecter ? cause he is just walking.

  • No it wont, and yes thats his top speed. This game is pure classic action castlevania. Not action-metroid style like the newer games. It also features The original Turbo DUO Rondo of Blood, that 2.5d remake, AND Symphony of the Night all on one UMD. Go search for videos from Castlevania IV, Rondo of Blood, Castlevania Chronicles Vol. 1, or Bloodlines for some of the most recent classic CV action.

  • i dont think he have special abilities i think its his backflip, item crash and thats it i think(this is the remake of rondo of blood)

  • if they were to make a remake of sotn , or cotm, and made the game look this good. wow. it would own

  • I dunno, the only reason he did the 3d remake part is so "newcomers" to the series would play it. I still wish Castlevania would stay primarily 2d (in this day, HD high res fluidly animated sprites would be amazing, especially since how Guilty Gear X, SF III, and Garou were).

  • on the ds you still have dawn of sorrow and portrait of ruin, i own dos and thats a really good game that picks up from aos

  • it's because he dosen't speak english thats just a translator

  • LOL the words didn't match the creator's mouth.

  • have you heard? a castlevania film is in development and wikipedia says it will be realeased Late 2008... cool huh? From those who brought you Resident Evil and Alien vs Predator...repost quick...let everyone know...dont believe me? Search for this film at wikipedia...got it? wikipedia is a website...

  • I love everything about this remake, except the new Richter-design. I think he has lost a bit of his charm there. :(

  • Duh! how many years has it been?..You suck Japan!.If this makes it out here give us some collectable stuff! I don't care how much $59.99 I'd buy it! Its been 15 years since I played this game! Dracula X!

  • the ds team , i hope those guys dont leave the ds behind at least one more with julius

  • I am definitely looking forward to this game, and will get a PSP for it along with a few others. Still, other than that, the DS is still my system of choice for handhelds.

  • Still waiting on an official release date though

  • It tooke me awhile to catch on to the fact that PoR has amazing music. The only flaw I can think of is that there wasn't a broad enough range of music. It was all very similar, excluding the themed songs.(The desert themes and the circus themes.) It really doesn't dissapoint in that category. On a side note, I actually wish I had a PSP, maybe.

  • :)!!

    informative custom trailer.

lol, out of desperation of playing this instead of waiting I went out of my way to emulate it via Magic Engine and Daemon Tools. Totally worth it, now I wanna see how it will fare in the PSP, but I have it will succeed just like Maverick Hunter X and MM Powered Up (I know they're completely different games haha lol).

  • If you "don't care about Rondo" you're not a Castlevania fan. I'll admit, I came in with Symphony, but that spurred me to play the rest. I adore the series.

  • looks good,, but pales in comparison to Dawn of Sorrow and Symphony of the Night

  • Well the real cool thing about it is that its 3 games in one. Im probably going to like the Original unlockable version of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night better, but hey, 3 CV games on one disc, not to mention 2 of the best of each style of Castlevania game? Thats a winner.

  • its gonna be O.K but it seems that they didnt put so much into this game... its just a remake

  • Well thats the thing. The main draw is the 2d original Rondo and a portable Symphony. Most people outside of japan have never ever been able to play Rondo. The 3d remake part of the game is just so "new gamers" will be drawn to it.

  • it seems like thatr koji guy just ported that old game over just to have a castlevania game on the psp too but are too lazy to make a new story..I d rather see something like dawn of sorrow on the psp than a remake of rondo of blood.

  • Well actually thats the case. He wanted to find the best way to get Rondo of Blood to North America/Europe. So this is the way they chose. Its like Castlevania Chronicles Vol.1 for the PSone, we never got to see that version of Castlevania 1 so he gave it to use on the PSone. Plus the SotN PSP version will have some extras in it as well.

  • Portrait of Ruin is as good as, if not better than Dawn of Sorrow.

  • its good. but dawn of sorrow had better music and leven design

  • Yeah it's music was marginally etter, but I like POR etter cuz Dracula is in it. OK yeah I know Soma is Dracula's re-incarnation, but you know what I mean.

  • This video made my night... my god that brought me back to the first time I ever played a video game... enter Symphony of the night and Dracula X... And the music from COD was pretty tight also

  • Rondo was an AWESOME game. It's a SHAME they converted it to PSP. You look at those graphics... they suck. They had to do them in 3D because it's PSP. And they seriously suck ass, not quality wise, but in the overall. They just don't fit...

    RooCAssis: you're a fucktard.

  • c'mon now tyhat really wasnt necessary. He was just saying he was waiting for Rondo to finally show up, and he thought he'd never see a pure 2d action CV again. Plus its got the ORIGINAL 2d full Rondo in it, AND Symphony of the Night all on the same disc along with the 3d remake of Rondo. 3 games all on 1 disc.

  • This, like, the greatest gaming news I've heard since Metal Gear Solid 2 was announced.

  • Rondo of Blood is an amazing game. It's just a shame it has to be released on PSP, out of all things.

  • lol you cant run the game sucks

  • Are you serious...bleh guess you came into Castlevania at or after Symphony of the night? Dont be lame, this is one of the best Castlevania games (the original Rondo, dunno how the remake will fare).

  • Finally its not a castleroid. I didnt think i'll ever see this kind of gameplay on casltevania ever again. IGA did right. Rondo was the only Castlevania i've never played. I've been waiting for something like this to happen.

  • the pirate ship stage is gonna look good in 2.5-d
