Acura and Audi are more competitors than anyone else.. Acura was said to compete best with BMW. But BMW's break down way to early on the track to even be worth the time it gets on the track against Acura. I say Acura is slightly ranked lower than Audi, mostly Neck to Neck when it comes to Comfort and features, But for the Value and quality, Acura Wins.

the question is, will it drift? answer is likely not. BMW and Merc are better individually in sportiness and comfort respectively. The Audi seems like a jack of all trades in a way. But I'd rather have either of the other 2 as they have mastered their strong points ;)

@alfamonk in Europe starting price for MB E class, Audi A6 and BMW 5 series is around 62 000 eur which is about 82 000 usd. I don,t know why is this like that but all cars are about 30-40% cheaper in US. You should be happy about that.

Not going to lie the world would use so much less fuel if americans (and others) need to fuel economy of 19mpg city and 28mpg highway is actually really bad! Small engines are the way forward. Tell me if I'm wrong is the general assumption in america that bigger engines are ok?

In the UK with fuel prices as they are fuel consumption is important. We also use cars with smaller engine (BMW 320s are popular). Anyway the A6 is a fantastic car none the less! Just save the big engines for Ferraris!

Audi is doing such a great job right now. On the finishing part, nor BMW or Mercedes have quite as "perfect" interior as the Audi. However, the BMW 5 series has been a benchmark for this segment for years, and still remains because it's just unbelievably good. The Merc is very good as well. Personally, I would go for the Beemer. But that's just me.

I know I can't generalize, but judging from reviews like this one Americans just don't understand cars the same way as people from Europe do. From my point of view, this car looks dull, isn't available with rear wheel drive or a manual, doesn't match a 5 Series in terms of driving dynamics and the options list is just insane. Worst of all it lack any kind of character, it's a very efficient machine, but as charming as a dish washer.
