The sharp side of the rasp lays on the teeth only. The back of the float handle is smooth and covers the back of the blade. In 39 years of floating, I've never rasped a tongue. My fingers, on the other hand...... Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you like my videos. Doc T

How do you protect the tongue from getting hit with the rasp when your working?
I love your work! I even saw this horse blink in satisfaction during your work on him :) Lovely!!!!
