@errolthecat I contacted our representative at Yakima and she informed me that most bike racks will block the rear license plate, either by covering it the way a trunk mounted rack would, or, on a hitch mounted bike rack, the bikes loaded would block most people from being able to read the plate. She said there are extra pieces you can purchase to move the mounting points off of the license plate, because you can actually be fined for covering it. Let me know if you have any other questions.
