Thanks for uploading this song. I had heard this song years ago in a music party and the singer had not mentioned the name of the movie. Beautiful composition by Mukesh Ji
After suffering huge loses in his first production, Malhar 1952. Mukesh produced Anuraag and for financial reasons, decided to give music himself. Shankar Jaikishan helped him out in composing. Notice the resemblance of SJ's "Kisi Ne Apna Bana Ke Mujhko" from their film Patita 1953. Lyrics for Anuraag were by Indeewar and Kaif Irfani.
@RealMusicKing I am sorry to to pen with confirmation to negate your assertion that Malhar 1951, was a flop production .Film Malhar was released in 1951,not in 1952.it was a big hit and proved to be a boon and bonanza for Mukesh ji.Rather ,mukesh remained unsuccessful in acting department,His relative Motilal and musician Roshan lal advised him concentrate on singing and Mukesh ji acted upon their advice to the letter.
Hello Dear, Please Upload "Man Chanchal, Ho Mera Jiya Dol Jaayega" Sung By lata Mangeshkar From The Same Movie "Anuraag".....Thanks And Regards.....Pradeep
That's really a surprise---I never knew, firstly that Mukesh was also a composer and secondly he composed such beautiful melodies. As always, Lata Ji's voice moves completely in line with the mood of the song and that's why the emotional impact of the song is enhanced manifold!
This song also reminds of Lata Ji's another similar kind of song--''Hamse Na Poocho Koi Pyaar kiya Hai-( Kali Ghata)''
