  • I was there!! I saw this (for school), she was so unbelievably amazing...!

  • OMG just saw her at Roy Thompson Hall with the TSO she was soooo gooood! one of the most amazing sounds I have ever heard!

  • oh...woops, I didn't think my first comment posted. Oh well.

  • I saw this performance...she is fabulous. =)

  • Indeed. I brought my friend to the show, and he's a complete metalhead. He left that concert with a respect for classical percussionists like you would not believe, and now, he's more then pumped for Glennie with the TSO in January.

  • Yeah!! I just saw that she's coming. I think I'm going to take my sister (a Music Major at UofT who performed with Evelyn Glennie)to see the performance. I can't wait!

  • Yeah! I just saw that she's coming! I want to take my sister (a Music Major at UofT) to see her. She was in the ensemble that performed with Evelyn in the above clip, so she'll be more than happy to see her perform again. =)

  • Awesome. A few of my friends were in the band - even a percussion player I know got to be in this! She said it was just surreal.

  • i love evelyn glennie, shes the sickest drummer! although watch out i'll be the next becuase im already at an advanced level for a 13 year old! i'm doing high school drumming now! like grade 12 exams in music!

  • sounds so much like Chance's Incantation and Dance...

  • HAHAH! This sounds NOTHING like Incantation and Dance! Yes, maybe it uses some similar instruments as Incantation, but that dissipates after about a minute. Also, the temple block part is about twice as hard in this, and the Incantation is in a very straight-forward time - this work is all over the place with meter changes.

  • somebody tell me what time signature this piece is in. I can count a few measures of five, then i get lost!

  • I've performed it. It changes about every measure.

  • ...now i look like a freak because i didnt think my first comment had posted.... :(

  • lauren, you are a freak. hahah it's scott who played euph beside you once...

i wondered where the hell they got the rest of that percussion section from.

  • Most of the percussion equipment came from locally with a fair bit coming down from Dublin for Evelyn (thanks to the WASBE guys).

  • What am I talking about ?! this was supplied locally by Woodshed Percussion (thanks Andy)

(Evelyn had done the concerto with WASBE earlier in the year in Ireland).

  • i was also there! sitting beside the extremely loud and accurate master's percussion student who played with laser beam like precision!

  • i also can say that i was there - beside the very loud master's percussion student who played with laser precision!!!!

  • hahahh no f*cking way!

  • Sounds better in the orchestral version.

  • hahah no f*cking way!

  • omg i was there too
