  • For those who liked the knights puzzle, I made a replayable online game based on it. Find it at:

    team.gis.e7studio.net/content/knights/knights.html

  • I had this game (and 7th Guest) as a kid. Needless to say I didn't get very far! =]

  • Games like this always are fun to watch and play. This, along with Shivers, was so much fun!

  • the chess puzzle dont run on my pc

  • i remember playing this as a kid on my uncles computer, don't think i ever beat that chess puzzle :(

then again, i didn't really know what i was doing o.O

    good vid so far :)

  • its kinda like myst

  • lol i miss these kinds of games

  • I enjoy watching games like this. It gets your brain working even though I think these puzzles are way over my head to be honest.

    Great playing Skorch.

  • Dont listen to people saying this is boring they Dont even know!! But seriously though it is cool to see how gaming has evolved and how badly it got dumed down I would of played this game but I think I was like 2 when it came out......... Oh well

  • That's cool man I like ur walkthroughs and I thought u would be playin this for a while but since u got other video I'll just watch those till u get a game that's more of my type

  • Nope on the sega genesis this is boring man I'm use to warchin u play fallout 3 infamous more action games

  • that's fine, if you think it's boring... just don't watch it. Don't ruin it for other people by saying so. I happen to like the game, it's one of my favorites.

  • @skorch82 i like your point and click lets plays the most i would like to see more

  • lol, there is no point in even listening to the riddles; the hint distorts them in so many different ways.

  • i dont think anyone expects you to know what they are from just listening to him. That's one of the major criticisms this game got, and ultimately led to the downfall of this company, was that the logic was way to advanced for the audience they were targeting.

  • that chess one was incredibly easy :)

  • uhh, sure it was...

  • Hey, I don't know. My grandfather got me into chess when I was about 6 and I've been addicted for 14 or so years. One of the few things I'm really good at is visualizing chess moves way ahead so it was exciting to figure out before you did it :D I'm not saying I'm any better than you, just that that's one of the types of puzzles that really interests me.

  • I've never uploaded a let's play type video, so I am not sure about this...why is it so difficult to get older games to work for these recordings? Is the video in an obsolete format or something?

I have heard of these troubles form other let's players out there, too, so I know it is not necessarily uncommon for this to happen.

Skorch, did you have these synch problems when you uploaded the Journeyman Project 2? That is a pretty old game, as well.

  • Old games always have OS compatibility problems, and it only gets worse with programs taking data from them.

  • i have to emulate the dos platform to run this, since I cannot run it on a 64-bit platform. Many old games will offer a compatibility mode, but most 16 and 32 bit applications are not built with compatibility on a 64-bit OS.

JMP2 was one that I had little trouble with, actually... as it ran fine without any hacks. The only thing was, I had to use the same recording method.

  • Live action cut scenes will ruin games

  • What? Live action scenes were the biggest thing in the 90's. CGI was BARELY an option at the time and were it used, they'd have been textureless blobs

  • Just because you can't do the puzzles :p

  • you were raised on the xbox 360 weren't you...

  • worst youtube update ever cant even load properly

  • lol i dont think i would have much patience for that last one

  • the lips start moving before the people start talking, its kind of funny

  • Hahaha Chuck him into the soup. That was the first thing I thought of when she asked for Chuck. I can't even believe I remembered that! lol

  • Cutscene in a bottle, only seven easy payments in BLOOD?

  • These cutscenes have epicly good lip-syncing

  • actually, they do. it's my setup that makes them look bad.

  • Oh yeah the game was called The Beast Within, man you should do a let's play on that, I remember it being really scary lol.

  • I REMEMBER THAT GAME!

  • How come the eye sometimes goes to either a blue eye or a brown eye?

  • Used to differentiate one object from another. You usually notice it in places where things are obscured.

Since there aren't any discrete buttons/clickables, it makes it a *lot* easier to do puzzles like the Cash Register, as you can be sure you're clicking the correct object.

  • From what I can tell, that didn't get attached to the right comment.

    Explanation of the Blue/Brown eyes.

  • Man I remember playing this when I was about 8 or 9 with my dad, and MAN I remember it being REALLY scary lol. I'm trying to think of the other scary game that we played... I remember the case was like a white wall with a face coming out of it. Well if I remember I'll post another comment saying the name. Sorry...
