You're right. My heart turns to stone when I see "lazy" spelling. I have no mercy. It takes but a nanosecond to look up a word if one doesn't know how to spell it. If only people would make that simple gesture... they lose credibility with me when they can't spell. I am led to believe they aren't educated and therefore can not make an educated argument. Um, it does not make sense either way. The song is about someone who can't say the right words at the right time and the emphasis is on CAN'T. Jeesh. Words are important to get the true conveyance of the message. Suppose someone said, "You CAN'T detonate the atomic bomb!" and someone heard instead "You CAN detonate the atomic bomb!" Two very different meanings and different outcomes, right?  Accuracy counts.
